SMT. Parvatibai Chowgule Cultural Foundation’s College of Arts and Science,
Margao,
Goa

I. Candidates shall have the following qualifications and experience:

(a) Principal (Professor's grade)

(1) A Master's degree with at least 55% marks or its equivalent grade of B in the 7 point scale with latter grades 0, A, B, C, D, E & F.

(2) Ph.D or equivalent qualification.

(3) Total experience of 15 years of teaching/research in Universities/Colleges and other Institutions of Higher Education.

(b)Principal (Reader's grade)

A Master's degree with at least 55% marks or its equivalent grade of B in the 7 point scale with latter grades 0, A, B, C, D, E & F.

(1) Ph.D or equivalent qualification.

(2) Total experience of 10 years of teaching/research in Universities/Colleges and other Institutions of Higher Education.

II. (a)Candidates having the qualifications and experience specified in 1(a) above shall be placed in the scale of Professor (Rs.16,400/— Rs. 22,400/-). Minimum to be fixed at Rs.17,300/-. (b) Candidates having the qualifications and experience specified in 1(b) above shall be placed in the scale of Reader (Rs.12,000/— Rs.18,300/-). Minimum to be fixed at Rs.12,840/-.

III. Candidates belonging to the SC/ST category shall get a relaxation of 5% from 55% to 50% at Master's degree.

IV. Candidates who are Ph.D holders and have passed their Master's degree prior to 19th September 1991, shall get a relaxation of 5% from 55% to 50%.

V. The minimum requirement of 55% at Master's degree shall not be insisted upon for the existing incumbents who are already in the university system. However, these marks shall be insisted upon those entering the system from outside.

VI. Applicants who are already employed should send their applications through proper channel. Applicants are also required to account for breaks, if any, in their academic career.
