Qualifications:
1. Good academic record with at least 55% (50% for candidates belong to SC/ST/PH Handicapped or those who passed their Master's degree prior to 19.9.1991 and hold a Ph.D. Degree) or an equivalent grade of B in the 7 point scale with letter grades O, A, B, C, D, E & F at the Master's Degree level in the relevant subject from an Indian University or an equivalent degree from a foreign University.
2. Candidates should have qualified the National Educational Test (NET) for Lecturers by the UGC/CSIR or similar test accredited by the UGC for those with post-graduate degree
Notes:
1. The candidates having Ph.D. degree in the concerned subject are exempted from NET for PG level and UG level teaching. The candidates having M.Phil degree in the concerned subject are exempted from NET for UG level teaching only.
2. A relaxation in the minimum marks at the PG level from 55% to 50% may be provided to the candidates who have cleared the JRF examination conducted by the UGC/CSIR only, prior to 1989, when the minimum marks required to appear for JRF examination were 50%.
3. 3% of the posts are reserved for physically handicapped/Visually challenged/handicapped persons. The candidates belonging to these categories may apply in any/all the disciplines as per their eligibility of qualification prescribed by the UGC.
4. Out of these posts, one post will be considered to be filled from suitably visually challenged/physically handicapped candidates in order of availability in case the same is filled up from any of the departments in which vacancies are being advertised.
5. Merely having eligibility does not give right to be called for interview. Candidates may be short-listed.
6. The candidates already in service should send their applications through proper channel.
7. Applications alongwith attested copies of Degree/Testimonials etc. should reach the college office within 15 days from the date of this advertisement. If there is any other specific case which is not covered under the above points, the matter may be referred to the UGC with specific facts supporting the reason for seeking relaxations / clarifications on case to case basis.
8. The College reserves the right to abolish/change the nature and number of the post/s without assigning any reason/information, before or after the interview.
