An Autonomous Institute under the administrative control of the Department of Chemical & Pertochemicals, Headquartered at Chennai with 11 Extension Centres in different parts of the country. CIPET is the Premier Training Institution in the field of Plastics Engineering and Technology Budget is around Rs. 20.00 crores.
Objectives
To train an average of 4000 persons annually in various disciplines of Plastics Engineering and Technology such as mould making, mould design, testing, plastic processing etc. for the plastics industry; organizing various short – term courses, awareness programmes, and entrepreneurs development programmes, providing technical services to industry.
Job Description
The chief Executive is required to provided overall direction, manage its finances and exercise administrative control over the Institute’s officers and staff numbering about 5000.
The candidate
An Eminent Technocrat in the field of Polymer Science/ Plastics Engineering and Technology. He / She should be an M.Tech or equivalent in polymer Science / Plastics Engineering and Technology. A PhD. Degree in any branch of Polymer Sciences/ Plastics Engineering and Technology is desirable.
Experience
Applicants with M.Tech or equivalent degree should have at least 14 years experience and those with PhD in addition should have experience of 12 years.
Age
The maximum age limit is 53 years as on the closing date for receipt of the applications.
Compensation
The post is in the pay scale of Rs. 22,400 – 24,500 per month. Other perquisites and allowances including Dearness allowances would be as admissible to CIPET Employees. The Compensation structure, rules and regulation of CIPET are generally in line with those applicable to Central Government employees.
