Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology (IIST) was established in 2007 to offer undergraduate programmes in Space Science & Technology to suit the sophisticated manpower requirements of ISRO.

The Academic Programme currently is being conducted in a full fledged alternate campus adjunct to the world renowned Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre at Thiruvananthapuram.

The Institute offers the following Reader Posts purely on provisional and Contract basis.

Qualification: M.Sc or M.Tech in the relevant branch of Science or Engineering with two years academic experience or Ph.D.

Remuneratio: Rs.18,000/-(Consolidated) per month.

Duration: Two Years, but extendable.

Age Limit: 35 Years.

The application with attested copies of all certificates should be sent to Administrative Officer, Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology (IIST), ISRO P.O, Thiruvananthapuram- 695 022, Kerala so as to reach on or before August 29, 2008.

Only Indian nationals need apply. Canvassing in any form will be a disqualification. Department reserves the right not to fill the post.

Note :

1. Candidates with Ph.D will be considered for the post of Assistant Professor after Four Years. (Subject to Contract extension).
2. Candidates with M.Sc or M.Tech can register for Ph.D with IIST if they fulfill the norms and conditions.
