SVNIT offers 7 UG and 15 PG programmes, Five years integrated M.Sc. programmes in Sciences & Humanities and Doctoral Programme(s) in Engineering, Science & Technology and is one of the leading NIT across the country.

S V National Institute of Technology invites applications separately for each of the following post. Tentative numbers of the posts to be filled are given in the bracket.

1. Professors: (a) Civil Engineering (01), (b) Applied Mechanics (02), (c) Mechanical Engineering (03), (d) Electronics Engineering (03), (e) Computer Engineering (02), (f) Electrical Engineering (04), (g) Chemical Engineering (01), (h) Applied Physics (01).

2. Associate Professors: (a) Civil Engineering (01), (b) Mechanical Engineering (07), (c) Electronics Engineering (02), (d) Computer Engineering (02), (e) Electrical Engineering (01), (g) Chemical Engineering (01), (h) Applied Physics (01).

3. Assistant Professor: (a) Civil Engineering (02-Open, 03-SC), (b) Applied Mechanics (01-SC), (c) Mechanical Engineering (02-Open, 02-OBC, 01-ST), (d) Computer Engineering (01-ST), (e) Electrical Engineering (01-OBC, 01-ST), (f) Applied Physics (01-SC), (g) Applied Chemistry (01- ST), (j) Applied Mathematics (01-SC, 01-ST), (k) English (01-OBC).

4. Lecturer on Contract Basis for a period of three years - For all branches.

The Application Form duly filled in alongwith attested copies of necessary documents must reach on or before 25/02/2010 by 3:00 P.M. Reservation of post(s) also includes backlog of reservations. 3% of the vacancies are reserved for Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) as per GOI norms.

Note:

1. Above posts are subject to variation at the time of interview / recruitment and SVNIT Institute reserves the right to fill up or not any post(s).
2. The SVNIT applications on plain paper and/or without copies of necessary documents or received after the last date will not be considered.
3. Those working in Government / Semi Government / Grant-in-Aid institution should apply through proper channel. However, an advance copy may be sent so as to reach before the stipulated time limit. Such applicant should bring / send NOC from their employer on or before the date of Interview.
4. Mere fulfillment of minimum qualification and experience of requirements for the above post(s) does not entitle the candidate to be called for an SVNIT interview.

Applicants for the posts of Lecturers, if found eligible, will be called for Written Test and Presentation to ensure Teaching ability and only stipulated numbers of candidates per post will be recommended for the Personal Interview to the Selection Committee. A short listing criterion may be set higher than the minimum depending upon the number of applications received against above posts.

5. Written Test / Presentation / Personal Interview calls to the eligible candidates will be issued through their E-mail ID only and will also be placed on the Institute Website.
