Applications are invited from eligible candidates who have the following qualifications and experience:-

Name at the Post:

A. Senior Lecturer-cum-Senior Instructor (One Gen Cat.)

Pay Scale: Rs.8000-275-13500 Plus allowances as comparable to Central Govt. Employees stationed at Chandigarh (nonpensionable job)

B. Assistant - Lecturer -cum -Assistant Instructor (2posts) (One for OBC and One for General category)

Pay Scale: Rs.5,000-150-8,000 Plus allowances as comparable to Central Govt. Employees stationed at Chandigarh (non-pensionable job)

Age limit for Direct Recruits: ( as on 01.07.2007)

A. For Senior Lecturer-cum-Senior Instructor: Not exceeding 40 years Upper age limit is relax-able up to 5 years in case of departmental candidates

B. For Assistant Lecturer-cum-Assistant Instructor: Not exceeding 30 years. Upper age limit is relax-able up to 5 years in case of departmental candidates.

Essential Qualifications:

A. For Senior Lecturer-cum-Senior Instructor: Degree/3 year Diploma in Hotel Management from an Institute affiliated to National Council for Hotel Management/State Board of Technical Education/Recognized University with minimum of 55% aggregate marks in Degree / Diploma in Hotel Management.

B. For Assistant Lecturer-cum-Assistant Instructor: Degree/3 year Diploma in Hotel Management from an Institute affiliated to National Council for Hotel Management/State Board of Technical Education/Recognized University with minimum of 60% aggregate marks in Degree / Diploma in Hotel Management.

Experience:

A. For Senior Lecturer-cum- Senior Instructor : At Least 5 years experience as Lecturer-cum-Instructor in an Institute of Hotel Management affiliated to National Council for Hotel Management & Catering Technology.or

At least 12 years of experience in teaching and /or hotel industry including minimum 5 years teaching experience as Lecturercum- Instructor in an Institute of Hotel Management affiliated to State Board of Technical Education/Recognized university.or

At least 12 years of experience in teaching and /or hotel industry including minimum 5 years teaching experience as Lecturercum- Instructor in Food Craft Institute affiliated to National Council for Hotel Management and Catering Technology.or

At least 12 years Hotel Industry experience including minimum 5 years in Supervisory capacity in 3 star/Heritage or above category approved hotel.

B. For Assistant Lecturer-cum-Assistant Instructor: A minimum of 3 years practical experience in hotel and catering industry after passing Degree/Diploma or

At least 2 years of teaching experience in an institute affiliated to National Council for Hotel Management and Catering Technology I State Board of Technical Education /Recognized University Application on plain paper indicating:

Envelop containing the application should be superscribed with the post applied for. Persons working in Central Govt./Public Sector Undertaking/Quasi or Semi Govt. organizations/autonomous bodies should send their applications through proper channel. Candidates applying for the above posts must ensure that they possess required qualification and experience. Candidates shortlisted for interviews will be reimbursed to and fro 2nd class rail fare/ordinary bus fare by shortest route on production of railway/bus tickets.
