The Job: To assist the faculty of the Institute in their teaching, research and work as an administrative interface with different facility providers of the Institute.

(Major areas of the Institute are: Business Policy, Computer & Information Systems Group, Communications, Economics, Finance & Accounting,Marketing, Organizational Behaviour, Personnel & Industrial Relations,Production & Quantitative Methods, Centre for Management in Agriculture,Public Systems Group, Centre for Management of Health Services, Centre for Educational Innovation etc.)

Qualification & Age: First class post graduates in the relevant field with about three years experience either in academics or industry, M.Phil. with two years experience or Ph.D. with or without experience.

Candidates with qualifications like ACA, AICWA, M.Tech. or B.Tech./ BE/ MCA/ MBBS / MPH / Ph.D. in Information Systems, MBA with specialization in Marketing/Finance/Business Policy/HRM with adequate experience will also be eligible.

Candidates with outstanding academic achievement but without experience are also encouraged to apply.

Remuneration: Consolidated salary of Rs.12,000/- to Rs.25,000/- per month depending on qualification, experience, merit and performance in the interview.

No other allowances except TA/DA for official tour, will be paid.

Duration: Initially for two years and extendable for another three years on the basis of annual performance appraisal.

Major Areas/Centers/Groups of the Institute and the required qualification for the Academic Associates:

Business Policy: A First Class Post-Graduate in Management/Commerce or equivalent qualification with three years experience either in academics or industry/M.Phil. with two years experience or Ph.D. with or without experience.

Centre for Management in Agriculture: Candidates must have a Ph.D. orMasters Degree in social science such as Economics/Agricultural Economics/Development Economics/Sociology/Rural Management, Statistics, Agricultural Engineering, Food Technology or any related field or MBA with relevant experience.

Candidates with outstanding academic achievements but without experience are also encouraged to apply. Good analytical skills and knowledge of computer applications is required.

Computer & Information Systems Group: First class Masters in Computers/ BE in Computers / Electronics / Communication.

Communications: First class Post-Graduates in Communication or related disciplines such as Psychology/Sociology/Anthropology/Education/ Linguistics/English Literature with three years experience in academics or industry.

M.Phil.with two years experience and Ph.D. with or without experience.

Should be interested in interpersonal and organizational communication.

Ability to speak fluently and write English correctly is essential.

Economics: First class Post Graduates in Economics/ Business Economics or MBA with three years experience in academics or industry, M.Phil. with two years experience, Ph.D. with or without experience.

Desirable: UGC-NET or UGCJRF.

Finance & Accounting: First Class Post-Graduate in Commerce with strong Accounting/Finance background and MBA with Finance or CA/AICWA with three years experience in academics or industry, M.Phil. with two years experience and Ph.D. with or without experience.

Marketing:First class Masters or two years full-time Post-Graduate Diploma in Management/Marketing/any closely related subjects from institutions recognized by AICTE/AIU coupled with three years experience either in industry or academics.

Candidates with M.Phil. with two years experience and Ph.D. with or without experience can also apply.

Organizational Behaviour: First class MA (Psychology Specialization OB / Social Sociology) or MBA with OB & HR Specialization with three years experience or M.Phil. or Ph.D. Candidates with an outstanding academic record,or minimum two years experience, or with JRF/NET qualifications will be preferred.

Personnel & Industrial Relations: Post Graduates/Masters in Management with Specialization in Human Resource Management OR First class Post Graduates in related disciplines like Psychology, Sociology.

At least two years of relevant experience. Preferably First Class in Graduation as well as SSC and HSC. Candidates with outstanding academic achievement but without experience can also apply.

Production & Quantitative Methods: First class ME/M.Tech. in Engineering/Computer Science or First class M.Sc. with Mathematics/Statistics/Physical Science or BE/B.Tech.

with three years experience either in academics or industry, or M.Phil. with two years experience or Ph.D. with or without experience. UGC-NET/ UGC-JRF/GATE will be preferred.

Public Systems Group (PSG): First class Masters OR M.Phil. in Hospital Management / Public Administration/ Social Sciences/ Management and Bachelor’s level qualification in Engineering or Medicine with one to three years experience either in academics or industry.

Ph.D. with or without experience will also be considered. Exposure to Computer Software is essential.

Ravi J. Mathai Centre for Educational Innovation: Post Graduate degree in Education, Social Science or Management with (a) experience of conducting research or having participated in research studies and (b) familiarity with current Windows based Software.

Competence in using statistical packages for analysis of large data sets (e.g. SPSS) will be an added advantage.

Candidates’ specialization in Master’s degree should match with that of the Area/Centre/Group he/she applies for.

Only relevant specialization will be considered.

Notwithstanding the requirements of experience, outstanding academic achievers without experience will also be considered for these positions.
