Invites applications from Indian Nationals for the Post of Principal in the institute

Essential Qualifications: (i) Graduation from a recognized University (ii) Degree / Three Year Diploma in Hotel Management from an Institute affiliated to National Council for Hotel Management / State Board of Technical Education / Recognized University. The candidate must have secured atleast 55% marks in aggregate in Degree / Diploma in Hotel Management. For graduates in Hotel Management, item no. (i) is not necessary.

Experience: Atleast 3 years experience in hotel related subject(s)* as Head of Department in an institute of Hotel Management and Catering Technology OR atleast 20 years of 3 years in hotel operations related subject(s)* as Head of Department in an institute of Hotel Management affiliated to State Board of Technical Education / Recognized University OR Atleast 20 years of experience in teaching and / or hotel industry including 3 years as Principal in a Food Craft institute affiliated of National Council For Hotel Management and Catering Technology OR Minimum 20 years hotel industry experience including minimum 5 years hotel industry experience including minimum 5 years in management capacity in 4 Star / Heritage or above category approved hotel.

*Hotel Operations related subjects are: Food Production, Food and Beverage Service, Accommodation Operations / Housekeeping and Front Office.

General Conditions: The post carries usual allowance and will be covered under the New Pension Scheme as per Government of India Rules. However, employees who entered into Central Government or in the service of central autonomous bodies on or before 31.12.2003 and who were governed by the old pension scheme under CCS Pension Rules, 1972 shall continue to be governed by the same pension scheme for the purpose of counting their past service under the said Rules, if such employees submit technical resignation to take up the appointment in the Institute. Accommodation will be provided on Staff Quarters as per Rules of the Institute. Upper age limit is relaxable up to 5 years in case of SC/ST and departmental candidates, 3 years for OBC and as specified for other categories by Government of India from time to time. For the post of Principal under no circumstances the age should exceed 57 years.

A recent Passport size photograph should be affixed on the application. Attested copies of all relevant certificates, mark lists (all the years of the Degree / Diploma in Hotel Management) and testimonials in support of age, caste, educational qualifications, experience, etc., should be attached with the applications and the envelope containing the application should be super scribed with the post applied for Employees of Central Government / Public Sector Undertaking / Quasi or Semi Government organizations / Autonomous bodies should send their applications through proper channel accompanied by copies of ACR for last 5 years.
