The following faculty positions are available on deputation basis for immediate recruitment at the National Institute of Disaster Management, a premier statutory organization under the Ministry of Home Affairs, with a vision to emerge in next few years as the leading Institute on Disaster Management, in South and South East Asia.

The qualification and experience prescribed for the posts are as under:

1. 1 Post of Professor in the pay scale of Rs.16400-22400

Ph.D. with first class or equivalent at the preceding degree in any of the Social/Physical/Material/Earth/Agricultural Sciences/Engineering with a consistently good academic record and a minimum of ten years of teaching and research experience of which at least 5 years should be at the level of Associate Professor.Candidate must have proven research experience and publications on Disaster Management.

2. 1 Post of Associate Professor in the pay scale of Rs.12000-18000

Ph.D. with first class or equivalent at the preceding degree in any of the Social/Physical/Material/Earth/Agricultural Sciences/Engineering with a consistently good academic record and a minimum of 8 years of teaching and research experience of which at least 3 years should be at the level of Assistant Professor. Candidate must have proven research experience and publications on Disaster Management.

3. 1 Post of Assistant Professor in the pay scale of Rs.8000-13500

Post-graduate in any of the Physical/Material/ Earth/ Agricultural Sciences/ Engineering with a consistently good academic record, preferably with a Ph.D. degree. Practical experience in research or management on any aspect of disaster situation shall be desirable.

Maximum Age Bar: 55 years. Service Conditions: As applicable to Central Government Employees, generally governed by the provisions stipulated in DOPTOM No. 2/29/94/ Estd (Pay II) dated 5.1.94 as amended from time to time.
