The department of Medical Education & Research, Himachal Pradesh intends to fill up the posts of Lecturers for H.P. Govt. Dental College and Hospital, Shimla in the following specialties purely on contract basis pursuant to Govt. letter No. HFW-B(B)15-4/2005-Vol-1 dated 13.10.2006 for which the applications from the desirous eligible candidates are invited:-

Essential Qualifications:

A recognized Dental qualifications (BDS) included in the schedule of India Dentistry Act 1948 (Act XVI of 1948)

A post-graduate degree (MDS) Dentistry in the concerned specialty. Salary: Lecturer:- Rs.25000/- (Fixed)

Terms & conditions:

The service of the candidate on contract will be purely or temporary basis. The appointment is liable to be terminated in case the performance / conduct of the contract appointee is not satisfactory.
The candidates appointed on contract basis will be paid the fixed salary of Rs.25000/- per month.
The contractual candidate will not be allowed the facility of vacation leave as admissible in vacation department in Dental College. He / She shall not be entitled for medical reimbursement and LTC etc. only maternity leave will be given as per rules. One day casual leave will be admissible after putting one-month service. This leave can be accumulated up to one year, No leave of any other kind is admissible.
Selected candidates will have to submit a certificate of his/her fitness from a Govt. hospital. The women confinement is over. The women candidate should be reexamined for fitness from an authorized Medical Officer.
Transfer of contractual candidate appointed on contract basis will not be ordinarily permitted from one college to another college.
The contract appointee will be entitled to TA/DA if required to go on tour in connection with his/her official duties at the same rates as applicable to regular Lecturers.
Unauthorized absence from the duties without the approval of the controlling officer shall automatically lead to the termination of the contract. Contract appointee shall not be entitled for salary for the period of absence from duty.

Agreement: After selection of candidates, he/she shall sign an agreement including other service conditions and pay scale, which will be provided by the department.

Date of Interview: Date of interview will be communicated by registered letter/speed post/telegraphically.

Right to Claim Regular Appointment: The candidate engaged on contract basis under these rules shall have no right to claim for regularization / permanent absorption in the department at any stage.

NB: The desirous eligible candidate(s) may apply for the above posts latest on the prescribed Performa (appended below) to the Director Medical Education & Research, H.P. Block No.18-B, SDA Complex, Kasumpti, Shimla – 9 latest by 13.11.2006 _Applications received after due date & incomplete shall not be entertained. Attested copied of certificates / testimonials in support of qualification / experience etc. must accompany the applications latest by 13.11.2006.
