Applications are invited from suitable candidates for the following temporary posts in an ad-hoc research projects namely BMGF funded project entitled "Assessment of the added impact of vector control for augmentation of MDA to eliminate Lymphatic Filariasis in South India" and DST funded project entitled "Population genetics of the predominant Japanese encephalitis vector Culex tritaeniorhynchus" under CRME.

Age: For SI. No.1 below 35 years and all others 28 years as on 1st October 2008: maximally 5 years relaxation for SC candidates and 3 years relaxation for OBC, as per Govemment of India rules.

The above posts are purely temporary on ad-hoc basis for a period of one year initially but likely to continue on year to year basis upto a maximum of 3 years or on the termination of the project whichever is earlier depending on the review of project work and individuals performance.

Candidates should be prepared to serve in field stations anywhere in India. Applications from employees working in Central / State Goverment Departments, Public Sector Undertakings and Goverment funded research agencies must be forwarded through proper channel.

Applications on plain paper clearly indicating Name. Date of Birth, Educational Qualification, Experience, Details of Employment registration and post applied for along with the attested copies of certificates and marksheets should reach the Officer in-charge,

Tamil Nadu on or before 7th November 2008. Since it is not possible to call all the eligible candidates for the interview, only the short-listed candidates will be called for this purpose.

The decision of the Officer in-Charge, CRME, will be final in this regard.
