Applications are invited up to 20 November, 2009 for one Post of Scientist - D (Medical) in the Pay Band PB - 3 Rs.15,600 - 39,100 + Grade Pay Rs.7,600 + NPA (as admissible under the rules) under ICMR Research Cadre in the Regional Medical Research Centre, Dibrugarh. It carries All India transfer liability.

Essential Qualification:

1. MBBS Degree recognized by MCI.
2. Eight Years research/teaching experience in the relevant area.

Desirable:

1. MD in Pathology/Microbiology/PSM/Medicine.
2. Additional Post Doctoral Research/Teaching Experience in relevant subjects as evidenced by publications in peer reviewed reputed journals.
3. Knowledge of Computer Applications.
4. Flair for scientific writing.

Note: MD Degree in subjects relevant to ICMR shall be treated equivalent to 3 Years experience.

Job Requirement: To assist the Head of the Institute/Centre in research both in intramural and extramural works and other activities etc.

Age: Not exceeding 45 Years.

Relaxable up to 5 Years for Government servants in accordance with the instructions issued by the DOPT from time to time.

The age relaxation is also allowed to SC/ST/OBC candidates in accordance with the orders issued by the Central Government from time to time. Allowances as per Central Government rules are admissible on the above pay scale.

Benefits of new restructured defined contributory pension system are admissible as per the provision contained in the Ministry of Finance, Department of Economic Affairs (ECB & PR Division). Notification No. 5/7/2003-ECB & PR dated 22.12.2003 effective from 01.01.2004.

Applications from employees working in the Central/State Government Departments, Public Sector Undertaking and Government funded research agencies must be forwarded through proper channel.

Private practice is not allowed. However Non - Practicing allowance is admissible to medical graduates as per rules of the Council.

Form duly completed in all respects should be sent to the same address as above along with attested copies of certificates in support of date of birth, educational qualification, experience etc., on or before the last date along with a crossed IPO for Rs.100/= (Rupees One hundred only) payable to the Director, RMRC, N. E. Region (ICMR) Dibrugarh (ST/SC and physically handicapped candidates are exempted from this payment).

Incomplete and late application or those without IPOs and required copies of certificates will not be entertained.

Note:

1. Since it is not possible to call all the eligible candidates for the Interview/Personal Discussion, the applicants will be short - listed for this purpose.
2. The decision of the Director, RMRC, Dibrugarh will be final in this regard.
3. Any canvassing by or on behalf of the candidates or to bring political or other outside influence with regard to selection/recruitment shall be disqualification.
