The Indira Gandhi Medical College is an autonomous institution of the Government of Puducherry. Applications are invited for the posts detailed below from Indian Nationals fulfilling the MCI regulations of minimum qualification for teachers in Medical Institutions, Regulations 1998. Candidates from Government / Autonomous Institutions will be considered on deputation basis also. Service candidates must apply through proper channel and original application should reach this office before the interview. Advance copy should reach before last date. Retired candidate will also be considered on contact basis upto 65 years.

IGMCRI Puducherry Application Forms 2013 : The duly filled in application, separately for each post, should be submitted on or before 7th January, 2013 ( Monday ) to the following address along with a D.D. for 250 ( 100 for SC / ST ) drawn in favour of “Perunthalaivar Kamaraj Medical College Society” payable at Puducherry and other documents as specified in the application format

General Instructions :

1. Age will be reckoned as on the last date for receipt of application. Age relaxation limit will be allowed in respect of various categories as per order contained in GO Personnel Public Grievances and Pension OM No.15012/2/2010- Estt(D)dt 27.03.2012.
2. The short listed candidates would only be called for an Interview at Puducherry.
3. Candidate called for interview will be short listed on the merit, experience etc before interview.
4. The number of posts indicated above are provisional and subject to change without prior notice.
5. Retirement age is 65 years.
6. Selected candidates will have to join immediately.
7. Other service benefits, will be governed under the Memorandum of Association and Rules and Regulations of the PKMCS.
8. For deputation candidates salary will be fixed as per Government of India norms.
9. Only Medical graduates are eligible to draw NPA.
10. The name of the post and speciality shall be superscribed on the envelope.
11. Institute is having the right either to fill up the post or not.
12. Mere fulfilling the eligibility condition will not confer any right to be called for interview.
13. Only one application has to be submitted for Tutor / Demonstrator / Junior Resident post.
14. The institute may also with the approval of Competent Authority choose to appoint such suitable person ( s ) who may not have applied in response to this advertisement.
15. No DA / TA is admissible for attending interview.
16. Candidates will be considered for appointment only if they have not presented themselves for the MCI Inspection for the academic year 2013 – 2014 ( from 1st August, 2012 ).
17. In case the candidate is selected applications for any post outside will not be forwarded during the period of probation.
18. Eligible candidates as per MCI norms can be considered for contract appointment also.
19. Fees once paid is not refundable.
20. Canvassing in any form will be a disqualification.
21. No correspondence will be entertained regarding outcome of interview.
22. Any dispute will be under the legal jurisdiction of Puducherry.
