Applications are invited from the Indian nationals by the Director, JIPMER, Pondicheery in the prescribed Proforma (enclosed as Annexure – I) for the following categories of posts for the College of Nursing to be filled up on contract basis for a period of one year and likely to be extendable by another year:-

Conditions for Eligibility:

1. Principal
Age limit : Not exceeding 45 years as on closing date

Essential qualification : (a) Master Degree in Nursing or equivalent from a recognized University (b) 14 years of teaching experience in a recognized college / institution or university after M.Sc. Nursing. Out of which at least 5 yeas should in the Nursing College. © 3 years experience in administration

Desirable : (1) M.Phil. / Ph.D. in Nursing (2) Independent published work of high standard. Contractual amount : Rs. 25,000 per month

2. Vice Principal:
Age limit : Not exceeding 45 years as on closing date.

Essential qualification : (a) Masters Degree in Nursing or equivalent from a recognized university (b) 10 years of teaching experience in a recognized college or university after M.Sc. Nursing. Out of which at least 3 years should be in the Nursing College. (The years of experience are relaxable if suitable candidate is not available) © 3 years experience in administration.
Desirable : Ph.D. in Nursing
Contractual amount : Rs. 21,000/- per month

3. Lecturer: 5 posts (one each in Medical/ Surgical Nursing, Psychiatric Nursing, Pediatrics Nursing, Obstetrics Nursing and Community Health Nursing)

Age limit : Not exceeding 45 years as on closing date

Essential qualification : (a) Master Degree in Nursing or equivalent from a recognized University and (b) 3 years of teaching experience after obtaining M.Sc. degree
Contractual amount : Rs. 16,900/- per month

4. Sister Tutor / Clinical Instructor: (18 Posts)
Age limit: Not exceeding 35 years as on closing date

Essential qualification : (i) Master degree in Nursing (Or) (ii) B.Sc. (Nursing) with 5 years experience after obtaining B.Sc. degree

Contractual amount : Rs.14,000/- per month

Other Conditions:

The contract appointment can be terminated by either side by giving a notice of one month.
The contract amount may be increased if needed after getting approval from the competent authority.
The appointment is subject to the physical fitness from the competent medical aboard for which he/she will be sent to the designated Medical Authority by the Director, JIPMER, Pondicherry.
The appointment shall not be entitled to any benefit like Provident Fund, Pension, Gratuity, Medical Attendance treatment, Seniority, promotion etc. or any other benefits available to the Govt. servants appointed on regular basis. Li>
The attested copies of certificates of age, educational qualifications experience and no objection certificate, if employed from the present employer should be enclosed along with application (The original certificates should be produced at the time of the interview).
In respect of the age limit prescribed for the post applied, the closing date shall be reckoned from 30 days of the date of publication of the advertisement in Employment News.
