Applications are invited from the Indian National by the Director, JIPMER, Puducherry in the prescribed Proforma (given as Annexure-I) for the following categories of posts for the College of Nursing. The method of recruitment will be by deputation in the case of candidates working in the Central / State Govt. Institutions / UTs / recognized colleges, failing which it will be filled on contract basis from the open candidates, pending notifications of the Recruitments Rules. The number of posts both for deputation and contract will remain the same:

Conditions for Eligibility (For Deputation Cases):

1. Principal (pay scale - Rs. 12000-16500/-) (On Deputation)

Officers under Central / State Govt. / UTs / or recognized colleges, Universities or autonomous bodies holding.

Analogous posts on regular basis or
5 years regular service in posts in the scale of Rs. 10000-15200/- or 9 years service in the scale of pay of Rs. 8000-13500; and possessing the following Qualifications.

Essential:

Masters Degree in Nursing or equivalent from a recognized University.
14 years of teaching experience in recognized college / institutions or university after M.Sc Nursing Out of which at least 5 years should be in the Nursing College.
3 years experience in administration.

Desirable

M.Phil / Ph.D in Nursing
Independent published work of high standard.

II. Vice-Principal (pay scale Rs. 10000-15200/-) (On Deputation) Officers under Central / State Govt / UTs / or recognized colleges / lnsttns., Universities or autonomous bodies holding:

Analogous posts on regular basis or
5 years regular service in posts in the scale of Rs. 8000-13500/-; or 8 years service in the scale of pay of Rs. 6500-10500, and possessing the following qualifications:-

Essential:

Masters Degree in Nursing or equivalent from a recognized University;
10 years of teaching experience in recognized college / institution or university after M.Sc Nursinc Out of which at least 3 years should be in the Nursing College. (The years of experience are relaxable if suitable candidate is not available)
3 years experience in administration.

Desirable - Ph.D in Nursing.

III. Lecturer (pay scale Rs. 8000-13500) (On Deputation) Officers under Central / State Govt. / UTs. / or recognized colleges / Institutions, Universities or Autonomous bodies holding.

Analogous posts on regular basis or
5 years regular service in posts in the scale of Rs. 6500-10500/- ; or 7 years service in the scale of pay of Rs. 5500-9000; and possessing the following qlns.

Essential:

Masters Degree in Nursing or equivalent from a recognized University and
3 years teaching experience after obtaining M.Sc. degree.

IV. Sister Tutor / Clinical Instructor (pay scale Rs. 6500-10500/-) (On Deputation)

Officers under Central / State Govt. / UTs / or recognized colleges / Institutions, Universities or autonomous bodies holding:-

Analogous posts on regular basis or
3 years regular service in posts in the scale of Rs. 5500-9000/-; or 6 years service in the scale of pay of Rs. 5000-8000; and possessing the following qlns:-

Essential:

Masters Degree in Nursing or
B.Sc Nursing with 5 years experience after obtaining B.Sc. degree.

Note :

The maximum age limit for appointment on deputation shall be not exceeding 56 years as on closing date of receipt of application.

Application in the prescribed Proforma (Annexure) and duly filled in names of suitable officers who fulfill the eligibility conditions and are willing and can be spared immediately on selection, may be forwarded to the undersigned through proper channel within 30 days of publication of this Advt. in the Employment News. The application should be accompanied with Integrity certificate, Vigilance clearance and up-to-date ACR dossiers, duly attested (on page to page) by an Officer not below the rank of Under Secretary. While forwarding the application it may be certified that no disciplinary/ vigilance case is either pending or being contemplated against the applicant. A statement showing minor/major penalties imposed, if any, for the last ten years may also be furnished. Candidates selected once will not be allowed to withdraw. "No Objection Certificate," if employed from the present employer should be enclosed along with the application.

Application received after due date or incomplete or without ACR dossier etc. shall not be entertained.

Desirable:

M.Phil / Ph.D in Nursing.
Independent published work of high standard.

Contractual amount : Rs. 26,000/- per month.

2. Vice Principal (On Contract Basis)

Age limit: Not exceeding 45 years as on closing date.

Essential qualification:

Masters Degree in Nursing or equivalent from a recognized university.
10 years of teaching experience in a recognized college or university after M.Sc Nursing. Out of which at least 3 years should be in the Nursing College. (The years of experience are relaxable if suitable candidate is not available)
3 years experience in administration.

Desirable : Ph.D in Nursing.

Contractual amount : Rs. 22,000/- per month.

3. Lecturer : 3 posts (one each in Medical / Surgical Nursing, Psychiatric Nursing, Paediatrics Nursing) (On Contract Basis)

Age limit : Not exceeding 45 years as on closing date.

Essential qualification :

Masters Degree in Nursing or equivalent from a recognized University and
3 years teaching experience after obtaining M.Sc. degree.

Contractual amount : Rs. 17,500/- per month.

4. Sister Tutor / Clinical Instructor : (10 Posts) (On Contract Basis)

Age -limit : Not exceeding 35 years as on closing date.

Essential qualification:

Masters degree in Nursing (Or)
B.Sc (Nursing) with 5 years experience after obtaining B.Sc Degree

Contractual amount: Rs.14,300/- per month. Other Conditions

1. Candidates applying for more than a post for contract appointment should send separate application form for each post along with the attested copies of the certificates required.

2. The contract appointment can be terminated by either side by giving a notice of one month.

3. The contractual amount may be increased if needed after getting approval from the competent authority.

4. The appointment is subject to the physical fitness from the competent medical aboard for which he / she will be sent to the designated Medical Authority by the Director,. JIPMER, Pondicherry.

5. The contract appointee shall not be entitled to any benefit like Provident Fund, Pension, Gratuity, Medical Attendance treatment, Seniority, promotion etc. or any other benefits available to the Govt, servants appointed on regular basis.

6. The attested copies of certificates of age, educational qualifications experience and no objection certificate, if employed from the present employer should be enclosed along with application (The original certificates should be produced at the time of the interview.)

7. In respect of the age limit prescribed for the post applied, the closing date shall be reckoned from 30 days of the date of publication of the advertisement in Employment News.

The duly filled in application forms for the post should be Pondicherry-605006 on or before the closing date.
