Applications are invited by the Director, Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research, Puducherry - 605 006 from eligible candidates for the following category of post mentioned below.

Note: No. of vacancies are subject to change.

Eligibility Criteria in respect of Age, Educational / Technical Qualifications are as follows:

Age: Upto 37 Yrs.

Essential Qualification:

1. Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery or equivalent.
2. 1. Registered as Nurse; and
   2. Registered as Midwife (or) equivalent with any State Nursing Council.

Conditions for eligibility:

Nationality: Only Indian Nationals are eligible to apply.

Age limit: Age will be reckoned as on 05.10.2009.

Relaxation of Upper Age limit for different categories are as follows:

Other conditions / instructions of Govt, of India on reservation will be followed.

Fees:

An examination fee of Rs. 500/- (Rupees five hundred only) for General and OBC category and for Scheduled Caste / Scheduled Tribe category Rs.250/- (Rupees two hundred and fifty only). Should be paid in the form of Demand Draft in favour "Accounts Officer", JIPMER, Payable at State Bank of India, JIPMER Branch (Code No.2238) Pondicherry - 605006. The amount of fee shall not be accepted in any other form. Fees once paid shall not be refunded under any circumstances nor can it be held in reserve for any other examination or selection.

Mode of Selection: Written test and Personal Interview will be conducted at this Institute.

How to Apply: Candidates fulfilling the eligibility criteria as mentioned above may apply with the attested copies of the following certificates / enclosures:

1. Age Proof.
2. Relevant Educational and Technical Qualification for the post applied.
3. Demand draft in favour of the Accounts Officer, JIPMER payable at State Bank of India, JIPMER Branch (Code No.2238) Puducherry (in original).
4. "No Objection Certificate" from the present employer (if employed and their applications are not routed through their employer in a State / Central Government / Union Territories / Public Sector Undertaking / Autonomous bodies).
5. Latest OBC (Excluding Creamy Layer) certificate for OBC candidates in case of their claim against the said category. Otherwise, their application will be considered against UR Category. Production of MBC or BC certificate instead of OBC will be considered against UR category as per the terms and conditions for UR candidates.
6. Recent Passport Size Photograph affixed in application and attested by a Gazetted Officer.
7. Self addressed envelope of Size 12 X 26 cms affixing stamp for Rs.5/- superscribing the "Code No.:________, Name of the Post: ____________".

General Instructions:

1. Application cover should be superscribed as "Application for the Post of_________ Code No.:_______" and the same should reach the address mentioned below.

2. Application along with attested copies of certificates as stated above should be submitted. It should be neatly typed on A4 size paper.
3. Candidates working in Central / State Government / Union Territories / Public Sector undertaking /Autonomous bodies, their application should be routed through proper channel with the Vigilance Clearance Certificate or along with 'No Objection Certificate' from the Employer and the same should reach this office within the last date for receipt of filled in application. Otherwise, their application will be rejected summarily without any intimation. Advance copy need not be sent.
4. Candidates belonging to reserved category such as OBC, SC and ST may also apply for the vacancies notified against UR without any relaxation in respect of Age.
5. This Institute is not responsible for any postal delay.
6. The Call memo will be sent only to Eligible candidates. No intimation will be sent for late applications and also for ineligible applications.
7. Incomplete application / application received after due date mentioned below will be rejected with out any intimation.
8. Unsigned application will be rejected summarily.
9. The Candidates are advised not to bring any political or other recommendations to influence their selection. The candidature of such candidates will be summarily rejected.
10. ubmission of any missing / additional Certificates / documents after the last date for receipt of the application will not be entertained.
