Lecturer: Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry, Forensic Medicine, TB & Chest, Psychiatry, Obst & Gynae. Anaesthesia, Biophysics.

Associate Professor: Psychiatry, Pediatrics, Surgery, Ophthalmology, Radiology, Anesthesia, Dentistry, Radiation Oncology, TB & chest.

Qualification & experience: Lecturer: MCI recognized PG qualification in the subject.

Associate Professor: MCI recognized PG qualification in the subject with 5 years teaching experience as Lecturer/ Assistant Professor.

Pay Scale: UGC pay Scale as per fifth pay commission and Dearness Pay 50% + DA as admissible. The institute pays NPA @ 37.5 % of the basic pay + Dearness pay.

The Institute dose not have pension scheme, however gives Contributory Provident Fund @ 12 % on the total emoluments.

Personal Promotion Scheme:

The Institute also has a personal promotion scheme for the faculty. A Lecturer is given a starting basic pay of Rs.8825/-. After 3 years he/she can be considered for the post of Senior Lecturer in the Pay Scale of Rs.10000-15000.

A Lecturer who completes 5 years service on his/her post can be considered for the post of Associate Professor under the Personal Promotion Scheme. Similarly an Associate Professor can be considered for the post of Professor after completing 4 years service on his/her post.

1. Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences is aided by Government of India., Maharashtra Government and Kasturbha Health society in the ratio of 50:25:25:
2. Higher post and/or salary may be offered to the candidates who are having exceptionally higher qualifications & experience.
3. Persons who have superannuated but are below the age of 65 years may be appointed as Professor against the existing advertised posts protecting their pay.
4. The Institute also provides accommodation on the campus.
