Maulana Azad Institute of Dental has been set up as a “Centre of excellence” for Dental Education and Patientcare by Govt. of Delhi at par with other Medical Institutions of National repute.

Applications are invited from the Citizens of India for the following Faculty posts in Dental Specialists on regular basis.

Pay Scale:

Professor: 18400-22400+NPA and other allowances / perks
Associate Professor: 16400-20900+NPA and other allowances / perks
Assistant Professor: 14300-18300+NPA and other allowances / perks

Essential Qualifications (for all categories):

1. A Qualification included in Part I or Part II of the Schedule of Density Act 1948 (Act 16 of 1948)
2. A Post Graduate Degree in the concerned speciality from a recognized University / Institution or Equivalent.
3. Should be registered with State Dental Council

Essential Experience for Faculty Positions:

1. for the post of Professor: 3: years teaching Experience after Post Graduate question as Associate Professor or equivalent in a recognized Dental College in the concerned speciality.

2. For the post of Associate Professor: 2 years teaching Experience after Post Graduate qualification as Assistant Professor or equivalent or 5 years teaching experience after post graduation qualifications in a recognized Dental College in the concerned speciality.

3. For the post of Assistant Professor: 3 years teaching Experience after Post Graduations in a recognized Dental College in the concerned speciality).

Age Limit (as on 01.12.2006): For Professor & Associate Professor 50 yrs., Assistant Professor 45 yrs.

General conditions:

1. Selected candidates will have to join immediately. 2. The number of posts indicated above is provisional and subject to change without prior notice. 3. Number of vacancies will be filled as per the availability of candidates of different categories in unspecified vacancies of different specialities departments. 4. Age relaxation for the reserved category candidate as per Delhi Govt. Rules. 5. Civil & Ex Army retired personnel can also apply. 6. Persons may also be considered for contractual appointment in case Selection Committee so recommends. 7. Candidates should have to submit demand draft of Rs.1000/- in favour of Director – Principal. Other Benefits: All posts carry NPA as per Rules. DA / CCA / HRA / Conveyance Allowance / LTC etc. will be admissible as applicable. The faculty is treated as Vacation Deptt. and leave rules are accordingly applicable. Other service conditions will be applicable as per service conditions prescribed from time to time by the Institution
