Applications are invited from Indian Nationals and Indian Nationals residing abroad for the following Group-'A' posts

1. Additional / Associate Professor of Neurology.

No. of post : Four" (Un-Reserved)

Educational Qualification: D M. Neurology / Speciality Board of Neurology (USA) or equivalent from a recognized University / Institution

2. Additional / Associate Professor of Neurosurgery.

No. of post: Three (Un-Reserved)

Educational Qualification:M.Ch. Neurosurgery / Speciality Board of Neurosurgery (USA) or equivalent from a recognized University / institution

Experience for:

Additional Professor Neurology / Neurosurgery: 8 Years of teaching and / or research experience in a recognized Institution in the subject of speciality after obtaining the above qualifying degree DM / M.CH.

Associate Professor Neurology / Neurosurgery: 4 Years of teaching and / or research experience in a recognized Institution in the subject of speciality after obtaining the above qualifying degree D.M / M.CH.

Upper Age Limit: 50 years

Scale of Pay for: Additional Professor Neurology / Neurosurgery: Rs.16400-450-20900/- (Plus NPA).

Associate Professor Neurology / Neurosurgery: Rs.14300-400-18300/-. (Plus NPA).

Note: It is intend to fill-up the Additional Professor vacancies from among the candidates having 8 years of experience.

In the event of non-availability of candidates with 8 years experience, the vacancies will be filled from among the candidates having 4 years of experience, as Associate Professor. No. of Posts may likely to increase.

Terms and Conditions:

1. The prescribed application form can be downloaded from this Institute website: http://www.nimhans.kar.nic.in and submit along with prescribed application fee of Rs.750/- (Rs.500/- in case of SC/ST candidates) through Demand Draft drawn in favour of Director, NIMHANS, obtained from any Nationalized Bank payable at Bangalore.
2. All British Medical qualifications obtained after 11-11-1976 are not recognized.
3. In service candidates should forward the application through their employers or produce "No Objection Certificate" at the time of interview, failing which the candidate's application will not be considered under the category of in service.
4. Indian Nationals residing abroad can apply by giving full details of educational qualifications, teaching/ research experience with copies of supportive documents together with an application fee of US $ 25 for each application.
5. Candidates should enclose attested copies of certificates of age proof, academic qualifications, experience, Medical council registration etc.
6. No applications shall be entertained if it is incomplete/received after the last date prescribed/not forwarded through proper channel. The Institute will not take responsibility for postal delay if any
7. Age relaxation will be given to SC/ST/OBC/PWD/ Ex-Serviceman candidates and Government servants in service as per G.O.I rules. The Candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC/PWD / Ex-Serviceman has to submit relevant latest certificate/s in the prescribed form issued by the Competent Authority.
8. In case if it is felt necessary, the Institute may not fill up any or all of the above posts and if So, no separate intimation will be given to the candidates.
9. Last date for receipt of filled in application form is on or before 20.09.2008.
10. Cut off date for calculation of age, experience is 20.09.2008.
