National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education & Research (NIPER), an Institute of National importance established by an Act of Parliament under the aegis of Ministry of Chemicals & Fertilizers, Government of India to impart higher education, research & development of Pharmaceutical sciences, technology & management intends to fill up the following vacancies:

Educational Qualification & Experience:

1.Technical Supervisor Grade-1/ Scientist Grade-1:

Scale of Pay: Rs.8000-275-13500/-
Age Limit: 40 years

Post–01: Pharmacoinformatics:

EQ: M.Sc. with 55% marks with 6 years experience in research or M.Pharm. with 4 years experience in research or Ph.D.

Desirable: Experience in molecular modeling and bioinformatic softwares

Post-02: Pharmaceutical Analysis:
EQ: M.Sc. (Instrumentation/ Analytical Chemistry) with 55% with six years experience or Ph.D.
Desirable: Experience in handling LC-MS and LC-NMR is required, stability studies and degradation chemistry.

Post-03: Natural Products:
EQ: M.Sc with 55% marks having six years experience in isolation structural elucidation of natural product.

Post-04: Biotechnology:
EQ: M.Sc. with 55% marks having six years experience in research or M.Pharm. with 4 years experience or Ph.D.
Desirable: Experience in computational biology, computational chemistry, computational sciences.

Post-05: Pharmaceutics:
EQ: M.Sc. with 55% marks having six years experience in research OR M.Pharm with 4 years experience OR Ph.D.
Desirable: Experience in solid characterization formulation and new drug delivery systems.

Post-06: Toxicology:

EQ: M.Sc. with 55% marks having six years experience in research OR M.Pharm, with 4 years experience OR Ph.D. Desirable: Regulatory toxicology, histopathology of small animals and GLP.

2. Technical Supervisor Grade-II / Scientist Grade –II:

Scale of Pay: 6500-200-11500/-
Age Limit: 40 years

Post No. 1 & 2: (Central Instrumentation Laboratory):

EQ: B.Sc. with 5 years experience in handling / operation of spectroscopic / analytical Chemistry) with 3 years experience in handling / operation of spectroscopic / analytical instruments.
Desirable: For Post – 01 & 02, Experience in handling, NMR, MS GS-MS, XRD and other sophisticated instruments and interpretation of special data of organic compounds.

Post-03: Pharmaceutical Technology (Biotech):
EQ: M.Sc. with 3 years research or M.Pharm. with two years experience in Research.
Desirable: Experience in Protein Purification / Biocatalyst / Enzyme Technology.

Scale of pay: Rs.5500-175-9000/-
Age Limit: 35 years

Post – 01 & 02 (Medicinal Chemistry):
EQ: B.Sc. in Chemical Sciences with 3 years research experience OR M.Sc. in Chemical Sciences in the relevant discipline.
Desirable: Experience in organic synthesis.

Post – 3: (Pharmacy Practice):
EQ: B.Pharm. with two years experience.
Desirable: Experience in handling sophisticated instrumentation and / or blood samples handling.

4. Junior Technical Assistant: (Technology Development Center):

Scale of pay: Rs.4000-100-6000/-
Age Limit: 35 years

EQ: Bachelors Degree in appropriate field or Diploma in Engineering of three years duration in appropriate field. Candidates should be able to perform day-to-day laboratory work.

Desirable: Experience in Pilot Plant of bulk drugs.

General: Good working knowledge of Computers in essential for all the above positions. The competent authority may relax age limit, qualification and / or experience in case of exceptionally meritorious candidates. Reservation and relaxation is as per GOI rules. The age of superannuation is 60 years. All the positions are on contract basis for a period of five years, which may be renewed on mutual consent. However, except for the consequences of being on contract, the posts filled on contract shall accrue all the benefits of permanency. The number of posts may be increased usual allowances as per Central Government Rules. Candidates may also be considered for placement in respective tower grades depending upon qualification and experience. Mere fulfilling of minimum and desirable qualification does not entitle a candidate to be called for interview.
