In compliance of the judgment order dated 29th July 2010 of the Guwahati High Court, Shillong Bench, Shillong passed in MC (SH) No.295/10 arising out of WPC (SH) No. 205/10 and WPC No. (SH)222/10 the last date for submission of application in prescribed format for the following posts has been extended upto 22.09.2010, except for the posts of :

Pay Scale : (As per the Revised Pay of Faculty of Autonomous Institutions under the Department of Health & Family Welfare. Ministry of Health & Family Welfare vide letter No. F.No.V-16020/57/2008-ME-l dated 12th January 2010.

Professor : PB-4 (Rs. 37400 - 67000) with the minimum pay of Rs. 51600/- and Academic Grade Pay of Rs. 10500/- + NPA.

Associate Professor : PB-4 (Rs. 37400 - 67000) subject to minimum Pay being Rs. 42800/- and Academic Grade Pay of Rs. 9000/- + NPA.

Assistant Professor : PB-3 (Rs. 15600 - 39100) minimum pay to be fixed at Rs. 30000/- with Academic Grade Pay of Rs. 8000/- + NPA (Non-Medical Faculty - No NPA) (Plus other allowances as admissible under Government of India Rules).

General Information :

1. "Candidates who had applied earlier need not apply afresh. However, in case of the candidates, who had already applied for the posts mentioned in the said advertisement dated 20.09.2008 and acquired further qualifications in the interregnum, they may furnish further qualifications by filing further application or fresh application".

2. Applicants already in employment in Government / Semi-Government / Corporate Bodies should route their applications through their employers. Applications received directly without being forwarded by the parent department / present employer or applications not accompanied with No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the parent department / present employer shall not be considered.

The date for acceptance of applications routed from their employer and submission of NOC shall be the closing date of receipt of applications.

3. Applications of retired faculty members having requisite qualification & experience and who have not crossed 65 years of age may also be considered for appointment on contract basis and their pay & perks are negotiable within Government of India Rules.

4. Accommodation will be provided to the Faculty members appointed at the Institute, subject to availability of quarters.

5. AC second class train fare to and fro to the place of interview will be paid on production of tickets to the candidates who are called for interview.

6. Incomplete applications will not be considered.

7. Institute reserves the right to reject or accept any candidature without assigning any reason thereof.

8. The number of Posts may be increased / decreased depending upon the requirement at the time of interview.

9. The effective date up-to which the requisite experience must be completed is 30th June, 2011.
