PGIMER Method of Selection

The written examination 'of 50 marks of the eligible candidates possessing the prescribed qualification (recognized by M.C.I)etc.

For the above posts and within the age limit will be conducted on specified days i.e .11.12.2008, 12.12.2008 & 13.12.2008 at 9.00 A.M. at P.N. Chuttani Block (Research Block B), PGIMER, Chandigarh.

The results of written examination shall be declared on the same day. The candidates who clear the written examination will be accessed by a departmental committee.

The number of candidates called fa departmental assessment will be 3 times the number of seats available in that department.

The departmental assessment would consist of 30 marks and is based upon clinical evaluation / laboratory testing/ detailed structured viva.

The departmental assessment of the candidates will be done on 12.12.2008, 13.12.2008 & 14.12.2008.

The candidates will be required to appear for interview which consists of 20 marks before the Selection Committee on 13.12.2008, 14.12.2008 & 15.12.2008.

For Senior Resident in the specialities from Sr.No. 14 to 25

For Senior Resident / Demonstrator / Tutor / Senior Medical Officer in the specialities from Senior No.26 to 35

How to Apply

Application form and other information viz. selection procedure, qualification, experience and age limit etc.

Can be obtained from the Recruitment Cell, (0172-2755578-79) either personally or on written request accompanied by a self addressed stamped (Rs.10/-) envelop (27cm x 12 cm) along with Demand Draft of Rs. 525/- (Rs. 275/- for SC/ST candidates) payable at SBI (Code No. 1524), Chandigarh, in favour of Director, PGIMER, as Non-refundable fee and cost of application form etc.

The application forms completed in all respect may be submitted in the name of Director, PGIMER, Chandigarh 160012 The same information and application form can also be down loaded from our website: pgimer.nic.in

A crossed Demand Draft of Rs.500/- (Rs.250/- for SC/ST candidates) should be attached with application down loaded from institute website towards non-refundable application fee.

The number of the posts can be increased/ decreased at any time by the orders of the competent authority.
