Safdarjang Hospital invites application from eligible male/female candidates for filling up the Posts of Staff Nurse in Sports Injury Centre of VMMC & Safdarjang Hospital.
Eligibility: i) Citizenship - must be a citizen of India

Out of above posts, 01 post is reserved for PH (OL - one leg) category.
(i) Diploma in General Nursing & Midwifery or equivalent, (ii)
Registered as Nurse and
Registered as Midwife or equivalent with any State Nursing Council
21-35 years (Age relaxation for SC & ST-5 years and OBC for 3 years) and 5 years to Central Govt. employees.
4. Mode of selection: There will be a written test followed by an interview.
The dates for written test will be intimated later on.
5. The vacancies indicated above in Para-2 are provisional and may increase or decrease at the time of recruitment of the hospital.
The administration also reserves the right to cancel the recruitment as well as the modified vacancies at its discretion and decision will be binding to all concerned.
In the event of the cancellation of the notified vacancies the examination fee will not be refunded.
6. Medical examination and Police verification: The candidates should go under medical test in Safdarjang Hospital before the appointment.
The Character and antecedents of the empanelled candidates shall be verified from the police/civil authorities.
Adverse police verification report in respect of empanelled candidates will render them unfit for appointment.
7. How to apply for Staff Nurse Jobs: The candidates fulfilling the conditions of eligibility should apply for the post notified as per application format given in this notice.
Application should be filled in by the candidates either in Hindi or in English in their own handwriting.
8. The application must be accompanied by:
(i) Fee Rs.200/- for General candidates and Demand Draft be made in favour of:
The Medical Superintendent,
Safdarjang Hospital,
New Delhi,
Payable at Delhi.
The name, address and post applied for must be written on the reverse side of the Bank Draft,
(ii) No fees will be charged from SC/ST and PH category.
(iii) Self attested copies of SC/ST/OBC certificates issued by the district authorities on the prescribed Proforma.
(iv) Self attested copies of matriculation certificate or equivalent examination indicating date of birth as proof of age, educational qualifications including academic and professional and registration certificates of GNM from any Nursing Council of India.
(v) Three self addressed envelopes measuring 28 cm x 12 cm with postal stamp of Rs.5/- duly affixed on each of them.
9. Applications will be treated as rejected in the cases where candidates do not send the documents asked for or send incorrect and incomplete application for or do not fulfill any of the eligibility criteria.
No correspondence whatsoever shall be entertained in this regard.
10. The applications can be either deposited in person at Diary section, Safdarjang Hospital or should be sent by ordinary/registered post addressed to:

Note
The application containing the application form must be superscribed in bold letters as "Application for the Post of Staff Nurse".
Applications which are not in the prescribed format will be rejected.
Applications, complete in all respects must reach to the Safdarjang Hospital within 30 days from the date of advertisement. Age will be reckoned from the closing date of advertisement,
Application without requisite examination fee (where applicable) are liable to be rejected,
The candidates should have the requisite academic qualification from a recognized Institution for the post applied for at the time of application itself.
If a candidate produces false documents, he/she will not only be disqualified/dismissed from services, if already appointed but may also be liable for criminal proceedings.
NOC in the form of undertaking from the employer to the effect that in case of selection, the department will spare the candidate for joining service in the Hospital should be attached with the application.
Candidates trying to use any influence or adopt any unfair means would be disqualified from the selection.
Failure to comply with any of the instructions contained in this notification may entail rejection of candidature.
