V.P. Chest Institute is a pioneer Post Graduate Medical Teaching and Research Institute funded by the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Govt. of India and maintained by the university of Delhi. The Institute is looking for dynamic and result-oriented persons for filling up teaching positions as shown below:

Professors (Rs.16400-450-20900-500-22400) in
Cardio-respiratory Physiology / Respiratory Allergy & Applied Immunology / Respiratory Medicine / Pathology / Medical Mycology.

Readers (Rs.12000-420-18300) in Physiology Respiratory Virology / Pathology / Respiratory Medicine / Biochemistry / Anesthesiology / Cardio-respiratory Physiology / Thoracic Surgery.

Lecturers (Rs.8000-275-13500) in Radio diagnosis & imaging / Medical Mycology / Respiratory Allergy & Applied Immunology.

Note:

Those interested should apply on prescribed application form which along with details of qualifications and other specifications required for the post is obtainable from the office of the Deputy Registrar, V.P. Chest Institute, University of Delhi, P.O. Box No.2101, Delhi – 110007 against a written request along with a non-refundable fee of Rs.100/- in the form of Nationalized Bank Demand Draft payable at Delhi & drawn in favor of Director, VPCI, (Rs.50/- in case of SC / ST candidates) in person on working days between 10.00 am. To 1.00 pm. or by post along with a self-addressed envelope bearing posted stamps of Rs.32/-. The application form & other details can also be downloaded from our website www.vpci.org.in

The last dates for issue of application form and submission thereof duly completed to the Deputy Registrar are 30/01/07 & 15/02/07 respectively.

Reservation & relaxation for SC / ST / OBC Physically challenged candidates exist as per rules. Separate application is required for each post.

All the above posts carry DA, CCA, HRA etc as admissible under the rules of University / Institute. It will be open to the Institute to consider names of suitable candidates who may not have applied.

The Institute reserves the right not to fill up any of the vacancies advertised if the circumstances so warrant. Relaxation in qualification may be made in exceptional cases on the recommendations of the Selection Committee.

Scale of pay is shown in the parenthesis against each post.

Those who submit downloaded application form from website or copy thereof are required to enclose Rs.100/- (Rs.50/- in the case of SC / ST) along with their application in the mode as prescribed at Sr. No (a) above.

The applications for this subject may also be considered for lower post of Lecturer in the event of inadequacy of qualified candidates for the post of Reader.
