Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BARC) invites applications for recruitment of one Civil Engineer and Tradesman/B (Electrical) at Astrophysical Science Division. NRL/HARL, Srinagar with the qualification and experience as indicated below:

Note:

1. The candidates called for interview from outstation for the above post will be paid to and fro rail fare by second Class/ Sleeper or actual fare whichever is less.

2. Each application should be accompanied by non-refundable crossed Indian postal order/DD for Rs.50/- (Rs. Fifty only) payable at Mumbai in favour of Accounts, Officer, BARC. Candidates belonging to SC/ST, dependents of defence service personnel killed in action and persons with physical disability are exempted from attaching Postal Orders/DD to their application. Persons with physical disability should produce necessary certificate from Government. Hospital/ Medical Board in support of their claim.

Age limit: 18 years minimum and 25 years maximum as on 10/05/2007.

i) Relaxation in the upper age limit of 5 years shall be admissible to all persons who had ordinarily been domiciled in Kashmir division of the state of Jammu & Kashmir during the period from the 1st day of January, 1980 to 31st day of December, 1989 provided that the relaxation in the upper age limit for appearing at the examination shall be subject to the maximum number of chances permissible under the relevant rules.

ii) Relaxation in the upper age limit will be admissible to children/family members of those who died in the 1984 riots.

Note:

1) Those candidates who have passed B.Sc./Diploma in Engineering/ AMIE/ Degree in Engineering/ equivalent or appearing for B.Sc./ Diploma in Engineering / AMIE / Degree in Engineering/ equivalent (final year) will not be considered for appointment and hence need not apply.

2) SC/ST candidates called for interview which will be held in Mumbai will be paid Travelling Allowance as per rules. However, Travelling Allowance is not admissible to those SC/ST candidates who are already in Central/State Government services, Central/ State Government Corporation, Public Undertakings, Local Government Institutions and Panchayats and the and the concession availed from Railways as per present Government announcement for those who are undertaking journey for attending interview.

General Conditions:

1. Candidates will be called for technical interview based on their academic records and experience in the relevant field. The final selection will be based on the performance of the candidates in the interview.

2. Selected candidates on their appointment will be governed by the New Contributory Pension Scheme.

3. Selected candidates carry with them the liability of posting to any part of India in any of the constituent units of the Department of Atomic Energy.

How to Apply:

1.Application, preferably typewritten on thick foolscap paper should be submitted in the proforma given below.

2. The envelope should be super scribed as “Application for the post of _______ against Advertisement No.6/2007 (R-IV)

3. Photograph: A recent passport size photograph should be affixed in the space provided for in the application and one additional copy of the passport size photograph should be sent along with the application.

4. Envelope: A self addressed unstamped envelope (size 24 cm ?10 cm) should be attached to the application.

5. Copies of Certificates: Candidate should submit along with their applications attested

Single Copy of certificates of:

a) Educational qualifications & technical qualifications (Mark sheets & degree certificates)
b) Work Experience
c) Date of Birth (Matriculation/ Secondary Examination certificate or equivalent certificate)
d) The proof of claim that the candidates belongs to SC/ST (applicable to SC/ST candidates only)

e) Appropriate authority regarding physical disability (applicable to persons with physical disability)
f) Proof of department of defence service personnel killed in action.

6.Note

i) Candidates working as regular employees / trainees in Government/ Semi Government, Public Sector Undertakings/ Autonomous organizations or any organizations which is aided by Government should apply through proper channel. In case they anticipate delay in forwarding the applications by their employer, they may submit an advance copy in the prescribed proforma.

7.Warning:

Applications which are not in conformity with the requirements indicated in the advertisement will be rejected. Mere fulfilling of requirements as laid down in the advertisement does not qualify a candidate for being called for interview. No corresponding from the candidate not selected for interview/ appointment will be entertained.
