Walk in Interview
It is proposed to fill up the following Group A posts at Central Institute of Psychiatry, Kanke, Ranchi on contract basis for a period of one year or till the post is filled up on regular basis whichever is earlier.
Accordingly applications are invited from the eligible and desirous candidates fulfilling the qualifications for the posts mentioned below.
Applications on plain paper either typed or handwritten along with two passport size photograph photocopy of the certificates of educational qualification, experience etc., must reach the undersigned on or before 30.09.2008.
After submission of application candidates have to turn up on the date of interview. No interview letter will be issued separately. In deserving cases age and experience criteria may be relaxed and even retired person upto the age of 62 years may be allowed to appear for interview.
Experience in private sector may also be considered.
The interview shall be held at Central Institute of Psychiatry, Kanke, Ranchi - 834006, Jharkhand. On 15.10.2008 at 09:30 a.m.

Essential Qualifications for posts at SI.No. 1. 2 & 3: (Assistant Professor of Neurology Anaesthesiology & Psychiatry)
A recognized medical qualification included in the First or Second Schedule or Part - II of the Third Schedule (other than licentiate qualifications) to the Indian Medical Council Act,1956. Holders of educational qualifications included in Part II of the Third Schedule should also fulfill the conditions stipulated in sub-section (3) of section (13) of the Indian Medical Council Act,1956.
Post-graduate degree in the concerned speciality mentioned in Section - A of Schedule - VI or equivalent as given below i
At least 3 years teaching experience in the concerned speciality as Lecturer/Tutor/Registrar/Demonstrator/Senior Resident after the requisite Post-graduate degree qualification.(The essential teaching experience may be relaxed from 3 years to 1 in the concerned speciality as Lecturer/Tutor/ Registrar/Demonstrator/Senior Resident after the requisite Post-graduate degree qualification at the discretion of the Selection Committee if a person is found otherwise suitable).
Essential Qualifications for posts at SI.No.4: (Prof, of Clinical Psychology)
Masters Degree in Psychology of a recognized University or equivalent.
M.Phil (Medical & Social Psychology or Clinical Psychology) or Diploma in Medical & Social Psychology (2 years course) from a recognized Institution or equivalent.
Doctorate Degree (Ph.D.) in Clinical Psychology from a recognized university or equivalent.
9 years teaching & research experience as Assistant Professor of Clinical Psychology out of which at least 5 years teaching experience as Associate Professor of Clinical Psychology. (The essential qualification may be relaxed from 9 years to 5 years out of which 2 years as Asst. and 3 years as Assoc. Professor of Clinical Psychology at the discretion of the Selection Committee if a person is found otherwise suitable)
Desirable:
Research/published work in indexed journal.
Essential Qualifications for posts at SI.No.5: (Professor, of Psychiatric Social Work)
Masters Degree in Social Work / Sociology from a recognized University or equivalent.
M.Phil or Diploma in Psychiatric Social Work (2 years course) from a recognized Institution or equivalent.
Doctorate Degree (Ph.D) in Psychiatric Social Work from a recognized university or equivalent.
9 years of teaching and research experience as Assistant Professor of Psychiatric Social Work or 5 years teaching experience as Assoc. Professor of Psychiatric Social Work.
(The essential qualification may be relaxed from 9 years to 5 years out of which 2 years as Assistant and 3 years as Associate Professor of Psychiatric Social Work at the discretion of the Selection Committee if a person is found otherwise suitable).
Desirable:
Research/published work in indexed journals.
Essential Qualifications for posts at SI.No. 6: (Associate Professor, of Psychiatric Nursing)
M.Sc. Degree in Psychiatric Nursing from a recognized university or equivalent.
Should be a registered nurse and midwife or equivalent.
4 years teaching experience in a recognized institution in Psychiatric Nursing after obtaining the qualification of M.Sc in Psychiatric Nursing.
(The essential 4 years teaching experience in a recognized institution in Psychiatric Nursing after obtaining the qualification of M.Sc. in Psychiatric Nursing may be relaxed to 2 years experience as essential qualification at the discretion of Selection Committee if a person is found otherwise suitable).
Desirable:
- Research/published work in indexed journal.
- Ph.D degree in Nursing.
Essential Qualifications for posts at SI.No.7: (Assistant Professor, of Clinical Psychology)
Masters degree in Psychology of recognized University or equivalent.
M.Phil (Medical and Social Psychology or Clinical Psychology) or Diploma in Medical & Social Psychology (2 years course) from a recognized Institution or equivalent.
2 years teaching/research experience as Clinical Psychologist in a Psychiatric Hospital, Psychiatric Clinic, Child Guidance Clinic or Department of Psychiatry in a General Hospital.
(The essential 2 years teaching/research experience as Clinical Psychologist in a Psychiatric Hospital, Psychiatric Clinic, Child Guidance Clinic or Department of Psychiatry in a General Hospital may be relaxed to no experience as essential qualification at the discretion of Selection Committee if a person is found otherwise suitable).
Desirable:
- Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology.
- Research/published work in Indexed journals.
Essential Qualifications for posts at SI.No.8: (Senior Bio-Chemist)
A Medical qualification included in the First or the Second Schedule or Part II of the Third Schedule (other than Licentiate qualifications) to the Indian Medical Council Act. 1956. Holders of educational qualifications included in Part II of the Third Schedule should also be required to fulfill the conditions stipulated in sub-section 13(3) of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956.Or Post-Graduate qualification in medical Bio-chemistry or equivalent from a recognized university.
Five years standing in the profession with work experience in bio-chemistry or pathology laboratories preferably of a Medical College or Hospital.
