DOEACC Society, New Delhi an Autonomous Scientific Society of the Department of Information Technology. Ministry of Communications and IT is a premier IT Education and Training Institution of the Govt. of India in the non – formal sector. The objective of the Society is to carry out Human Resource Development activities in the area of Information, Electronics and Communications Technology (IECT) through its various Centres in the country, apart from Consultancy and allied services in India and abroad.

DOEACC Society is looking for a well qualified, experienced and dynamic person for the post of Director at DOEACC Centre, Aizawl (Mizoram), who will be responsible for all Technical, Administrative and Financial matters of the Centre. The selected person will be appointed in the scale of pay of Rs. 16,400 – 450 – 20,000 (plus other allowances as admissible under the rules on term contract basis for a period of 5 years. The term will be extendable keeping in view the performance of the person. The Aizawl Centre conducts various Training programmes in the area of Information Technology, Bioinformatics, Electronics and IT Enabled Services apart from providing design, development and consultancy services in the region.

The eligibility, experience and educational qualifications etc. required for the post, are mentioned as under: Number of posts: 01 (One)
Scale of pay: Rs. 16,400 – 450 – 20, 000 (plus allowances as admissible under the rules)
Term of Contact: Five years
Age: maximum upto 5 years as on 31.12.2006 (relaxation as per Govt. of India rules)
Qualification and Experience:

Ph.D. (Engineering/ Science) with 10 years experience* OR M. Tech/ M.E./M. Design with 13 years experience* OR 1st class B.E. recognized qualification with not less than 60% marks with 15 years experience*.

* Out of the above experience atleast five years experience should be in the grade of Rs. 12,000 – 375 – 16, 500/- or three years experience in the grade of Rs. 14,300 – 400 – 18,300/- for candidates applying from Government. In respect of other candidates at least three years of experience should be at the Senior managerial level.

Desirable: Experience/ knowledge of handling Education & Training programmes, R & D projects & Consultancy in the area of Information Technology, Bioinformatics, Electronics and IT Enabled Services and in providing design, development and consultancy services will be an added qualification.

Job responsibilities: The person selected for the post will be overall in charge as Head of the Centre and will be responsible for providing dynamic leadership on all technical, administrative and financial management of the Centre. He/ she is expected to fully exploit the revenue generation potential to help produce quality human resources in the area of Information, Electronics and Communication Technology (IECT). The Director will function under the control and supervision of the Executive Director, DOEACC Society.
