Applications are invited by the Commission for the below mentioned posts. The last date for receipt of applications in the Office of the Commission is 02/07/2007.

Application on plain paper giving date of birth, educational and other qualification, experience etc, supported by documentary evidence (self attested) in those respect along with a postal order of Rs.30/- in favor of secretary. GPSC payable at Panaji towards application fee, may be addressed to the secretary GPSC. Please attach passport size photograph on the application with your cross signature thereon. Note: 1) in response to Goa Public Service Commissions earlier local advertisement No 1/2007 need not apply again in respect of posts at. Sr. No. 1, 2 and 3 below.

2) Incase of non availability of suitable candidate with the knowledge of Konkani this requirement can be relaxed in case of all the below posts.

I. Goa College of Pharmacy

1. Professors

(i) Pharmaceutics - 1 Post
(ii) Pharmaceutical Chemistry - 1 Post
(iii) Pharmaceutical Analysis - 1 Post
(iv) Pharmacognosy - 1 Post
(v) Pharmacology - 1 Post

Scale of Pay: Rs.16, 400-22-400/-

Age: Not exceeding 50 years.

Educational & Other Qualifications:

Essential:

(i) Ph. D Degree with first class either at Bachelor’s or Master’s level in the appropriate branch of specialization in Pharmacy.

(ii) 10 years experience in teaching/industry/ research, out of which 5 years must be at the level of Assistant Professor or equivalent;

(iii) Knowledge of Konkani.

Desirable: Knowledge of Marathi.

Note: Candidates from industry/profession with first class Master’s Degree in appropriate branch of specialization in Pharmacy and with professional work which is significant and can be recognized as equivalent to Ph.D. Degree and with 10 years experience of which at least 5 years should be at a Senior level comparable to that of an Assistant Professor would also be eligible.

2. Assistant Professors

(i) Pharmaceutical Analysis - 1 Post
(ii) Pharmacognosy - 1 Post
(iii) Pharmacology - 1 Post

Scale of Pay: Rs. 12, 000-18, 300/-

Age: Not exceeding 45 years

Educational & Other Qualifications:

Essential:

(i) Ph.D. Degree with first class at Bachelor’s or Master’s level in, the appropriate branch of specialization in Pharmacy,

(ii) 3 years experience in teaching/ industry/ research at the level of Lecturer or equivalent.

(iii) Knowledge of Konkani.

Desirable: Knowledge of Marathi.

Note: Candidates from industry/ Profession with first class Master’s Degree in appropriate branch of specialization in Pharmacy and professional work which is significant and can be recognized as equivalent to Ph. D. Degree and with 5 years experience would also be eligible.

3. Lecturers

(i) Organic Chemistry - 1 Post
(ii) Inorganic Chemistry - 1 Post
(iii) Pharmaceutical Analysis - 1 Post

Scale of Pay: Rs.8000-13, 500/-

Age: Not exceeding 40 years.

Educational & Other Qualifications:

Essential:

(i) First class Master’s Degree in the appropriate branch of Pharmacy after obtaining a basic degree in Pharmacy.

(ii) Knowledge of Konkani.

Desirable: Knowledge of Marathi.

II. Goa Dental College & Hospital

4. Lecturers

Oral Pathology - 1 Post

Scale of Pay: Rs. 8000-13, 500/- + NPA

Age: Not exceeding 40 years.

Educational & Other Qualifications:

Essential:

(i) A qualification included in Part I or Part II of the Schedule to the Dentist Act, 1948 (16 of 1949)

(ii) Post –graduate qualification in Dentistry i.e., M.D.S. from a recognized Institution or equivalent

(iii) Should be registered with Dental Council,

(iv) 2 years experience as Registrar / Tutor / Senior Resident / Demonstrator/ Clinical Assistant in the specially of Dentistry in a recognized Dental College/ Medical College with Dental Wing Dental Institution,

(v) Knowledge of Konkani.

Desirable: Knowledge of Marathi.

III. Goa College of Engineering

5. Professors in Engineering/ Technology

(i) Computer - 1 Post
(ii) Information Technology - 1 Post
(iii) Electronics and Telecommunication - 1 Post

Scale of Pay: Rs.14, 300-22, 400/-

Age: Not exceeding 50 years.

Educational & Other Qualifications:

Essential:

(i) Ph.D. Degree with First Class Degree at Master’s or Bachelor’s level in the appropriate branch on Engineering/ Technology.

(ii) 10 years experience in Teaching/ Industry/ Research in the appropriate branch of Engineering out of which 5 years must be at the level of Assistant Professor and/ or equivalent.

(iii) Knowledge of Konkani.

Note: Candidates from Industry/ Profession with Master’s Degree in Engineering/ Technology and Professional work, which is significant and can be recognized as equivalent to Ph.D. Degree and with 10 years Industrial / Professional experience of which at least 5 years should be at a Senior level comparable to that of an Assistant Professor as certified by the concerned University would also be eligible.

Desirable: Knowledge of Marathi.

Note: For the above posts appropriate means the branch in which the post is to be filled up or such other branch where there is demonstrative evidence of likeness of subject matter severed.
