Homi Bhabha Centre for Science Education (HBCSE), a National Centre of the TIFR invites applications for the following post tenable at HBCSE, Mumbai

Scientific Officer-B: 2 posts (one for OBC and one Unreserved) in the scale of pay of Rs.7450-225-11500 plus allowances as applicable to Central Government employees stationed at Mumbai.

Qualification: M.Sc. in Physics / Biology with more than 60% marks in aggregate.

Desirable: Experience in theoretical / Experimental Projects, in organizing Scientific Workshops and in Linux and Windows on Computer.

Age: Below 28 years (relaxable by 3 years in case of OBC candidates) Appointment will be initially for a period of three years including probation of one year.

Continuing appointment will depend on comprehensive review of performance at the end of three years.

Selected candidates will be governed by the recently introduced New-Defined contributory Pension Scheme for new entrants to the Central Government service.

Applications will be screened & only short listed candidates will be called for interviews. The Centre reserves the right to restrict the number of candidates for interview to a reasonable limit on the basis of qualification and experience higher than the minimum prescribed in the advertisement.
