The Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER), devoted to science education and research is located at Pune. The Institute invites applications from Indian nationals possessing excellent academic record and experience for the following positions

Code1. Project Engineer – cum – Estate Officer – 1 post (UR)
Scale of Pay: Rs. 10,000- 325 – 15,200

Qualification & Experience: 1st Class BE/ B.Tech in Civil Engineering with 9yrs experience in pre & post contact management of large multistoreyed buildings, works consisting of commercial, residential and institutional buildings and large townships including services works. Should be able to use software / computers for contact management. Preference will be given to those who are having experience of handling similar works in departments like CPWD/ public sector organizations / Research Institutions/ repute private organizations.

Job Requirements: The incumbent will be in charge of all the new construction activities of the Institute, apart from being the estate officer of the Institute’s land and buildings. He will be required to oversee the preparation of estimates, tender documents, day – to day supervision, preparation of bills and handling of contractual matters.

Note: This post could be considered for filling up on deputation basis on foreign service terms in case of the candidate working in Govt. Organization.

Scale of Pay: Rs. 5,000 – 150 – 8,000

Qualifications & Experience: B.Com with minimum II class and two year’s experience in Accounts & Audit in University/ educational institution/ Research Institution/ Public Sector Undertaking or any other reputed private organizations etc. M.Com. qualification would be an added advantage.

Job Requirements: To handle the day – to day financial activities and Functions of the Institute.

Age Limit: 30 years as on 1st January 2007
Code 3 Office Assistant (Multi – shill) – 1 post (UR)
Scale of Pay: Rs. 4,500 – 125 – 7,000

Qualifications & Experience: Bachelor’s Degree with minimum II class and 2 year’s experience in general administrative functions, purchase & stores functions etc. in University / Research Institution/ educational Institution/ reputed private organizations etc. The candidate should possess knowledge of computer particularly in office applications.

Job Requirements: To handle day – to day functions relating to administration, stores & purchase, security, housekeeping etc.

Age limit: 30 years as on 1st January 2007.
Code 4 & 5 Personal Assistant – 2 Posts (UR)
Scale of Pay: Rs. 5,000 – 150 – 8,000

Qualifications & Experience: Bachelor’s Degree with minimum speed of 100 w.p.m. in shorthand and computer key depression speed of 40 w.p.m. The candidate should possess 2 year’s experience as Stenographer in a Govt. organization / reputed private organization; or 1 year professional diploma / certificate in Secretarial Practice with 1 year’s relevant experience.

Job Requirements: To provide secretarial assistance to the Director and Registrar of the Institute.

These posts carry usual allowances i.e., Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), City Compensatory Allowance (CCA), Transport Allowance (TA) etc. as admissible to the Central Government employees in class ‘A’ city as made applicable to the Institute.

In addition to the emoluments indicated against each category, benefits such as Contributory Provident fund (CPF), reimbursement of Medical Expenses etc. are available as per rules of the Institute.

The New Pension Scheme of Central Govt. is being considered to be adopted by the Institute. The qualifications prescribed should have been obtained from recognized Universities/ Institution.

Reservation for SC/ ST/ OBC/PH etc. will be made as per Govt. of India rules.

Age limit: Age should not exceed the limit indicated as on the closing date of receipt of completed application. Upper age limit is relaxable as per GOI orders in respect of SC/ST (5 years)/ OBC (3 years)/ physical handicapped (10 years)/ Ex – servicemen (as per military service).

Applications from the candidates working in Government Departments, Public Sector Undertakings and Government Funded Research Agencies will be considered only if forwarded through proper channel and with a clear certificate that the applicant will be relieved within one month of receipt of appointment order, if selected.

Candidates applying for more than one post may apply separately for each post indicating the name and Code Number of the post.

The prescribed Essential Qualifications are a bare minimum and mere possession of same will not entitle the candidates to be called for interview. Where number of applications received in response to an advertisement is large, it may not be convenient or possible for the Institute to interview all the candidates. The Institute may restrict the number of candidates to be called for written exam / skill test/ Interview to a reasonable limit, on the basis of qualifications and experience higher than that of the minimum prescribed in the advertisement. The candidates should, therefore, furnish all the minimum qualifications prescribed.

Relaxation in age, educational qualification and/ or experience will be considered in case of exceptionally meritorious candidates, with prior approval of the Competent Authority.

Outstation candidates called for interview will be paid to and fro single second class rail fare/ ordinary bus fare from the normal place of their residence or that in the application or from the actual place of undertaking the journey, whichever is nearer to the place of the interview, as per rules.

Interim enquiries will not be attended to.

Canvassing in any form and / or bringing any influence, political or otherwise, will be treated as a disqualification for the post applied for.
