Indo Tibetan Border Police Force (ITBPF) - Eligibility:
A. Age: Between 20 to 25 Years (Cut off date will be the last date of receipt of application as mentioned in the advertisement).
Note:
Upper age limit is relaxable for SC/ST by 5 years and for OBC by 3 years.
Ex-Servicemen who have put in not less than six months continuous service in the Armed Forces shall be allowed to deduct the period of such service from his actual age and if the resultant age does not the prescribed maximum age by more than three years, he shall be deemed to satisfy the condition regarding age limit.
Upper age limit is relaxable upto 5 years to the children and dependent family members of those killed in 1984 riots and communal riots of 2002 in Gujarat. SC/ST/OBC relexation as per Govt. instructions will be in addition. Children means - Son (including adopted son) and dependent family members means brother in the case of unmarried Govt. Servant who was wholly dependent on the Govt. Servant at the time of his killing in the riots. Children and dependent family member should produce a certificate to that effect from the Collector of the concerned District wherein the victim was killed.
All persons who had ordinarily been domiciled in the State of Jammu & Kashmir during the period from 01st day of January 1980 to the 31st day of December 1989 shall be eligible for relaxation in the upper age limit by five years in support of which the proof of residence must be submitted alongwith the application form duly signed by:-
The District Magistrate within whose jurisdiction he had ordinarily resided; or
Any other authority designated in this behalf by the Goverment of J&K to the effect that he had ordinarily been domiciled in the State of Jammu & Kashmir during the period 1.1.80 to 31.12.89.
Upper age limit is relaxable upto 5 years for Goverment servant in accordance with the instructions issued by the Central Goverment
B. Educational and Professional Qualification:
Matric or equivalent with Diploma in Civil Engineering from an Institute recognized by the Central Government.

Note: Candidate who intends to avail relaxation in Height/Chest measurement will have to submit certificate as per annexure-VI
Medical Standard:
Eye Sight: The minimum distant vision should be 6/6 and 6/9 of two eyes without correction i.e. without wearing of glasses.
The candidates must not have knock-knee, flat foot, varicose vein or squint in eyes and they should possess high colour vision. They must be in good mental and bodily health and free from any physical defect likely to interfere with the efficient performance of the duties.
