Inter University Accelerator Centre, an Inter-University Centre of University Grants Commission invites applications from qualified Indian nationals for appointment to the following position:-

Scientist (Trainee): 4 Posts (1 ST: 3 OBC- Two positions reserved for Physically Handicapped category).

Selected candidates will be paid a stipend of Rs. 8,000/- per month during the training period of one year. On successful completion of training and the selection procedure, the candidates will be placed in the post of Scientist “C” in the scale of Rs. 8000-275-13500.

Qualification: Fresh M.Sc. (Physics) (Passed in 2007 or later) with consistently good academic record from Class-X examination onwards (with at least 55% marks). Those appearing in M.Sc., (final) exam in 2008 may also apply.

However, such candidates will have to produce M.Sc., (final) results at the time of interview and should give M.Sc., (Part-I) marks obtained in educational qualifications column in the application.

Junior Engineer: 2 Post (1-OBC and 1-ST - One position Reserved for Physically Handicapped category)

Qualification: Diploma in Instrumentation Engineering / Electronics Engineering with high first class.

Scale of pay: 5000-150-8000

Desirable: Two years of experience in electronic instrumentation for two positions in Electronics.

Research Associates

Scale of pay: As per CSIR norms, HRA or Accommodation will be provided in the campus, subject to availability.

Qualification: Ph.D. in Experimental Physics (Nuclear Physics, Materials Science, Atomic Physics Radiation Biology and Computational Materials Science). Good academic record from Class-X onwards (atleast 55% marks).

Duration of appointment will be one year, renewable up to three years. Accommodation will be provided on campus.

General Conditions:

The post of Scientist carry the allowances such as DA, HRA, CCA etc., besides benefits like CPF-cum Gratuity, LTC, medical reimbursement as per Centre’s rules. Selected candidates would be required to work in shifts or on week ends and holidays.

Candidates claiming reservation should attach the caste certificate in the prescribed form of the Govt. of India, duly signed by the competent authority. Those already employed in Central/State Governments, PSUs, Autonomous Bodies etc.,
