National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD)

Applications are invited from Indian citizens for the following posts in the Rural Development Banking Service (RDBS), Rajbhasha Service and Legal Service in National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD), at its Head Office/Regional Offices.

I. Vacancies

The following numbers of posts are reserved for Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), Other Backward Classes (OBC), and Persons with Disability (PWD), separately, in each grade.

Five (05) posts are reserved for PWD, out of which two (02) posts (01 each for Rajbhasha and Legal Service) are earmarked for Hearing Impaired (HI), two (02) posts for Orthopaedically Handicapped (OH) and one (01) post for Visually Impaired (VI) are earmarked in RDBS.


(i) OBC candidates falling under 'Creamy Layer' will be treated as 'General' Category candidates.

(ii) It may not be possible for the Bank to employ the PWD candidates in all the offices of the bank.

The degree of disability should be minimum 40% in the case of Orthopaedically handicapped and between 40% and 75% in the case of Hearing and Visually impaired; and duly certified.

The Bank may allow inter-exchange between various categories of persons with disabilities if a candidate of a specified category is not available.

Attested true Photostat copies of certificate in support of caste/ disability to be submitted along with application.

Instructions pertaining to engaging scribe for PWD candidates:

i. The candidate will have to arrange his own scribe at his own cost.

ii. The academic qualification of the scribe should be one grade lower than that required for the post.

iii. The scribe should be from an academic stream other than that of the candidate. The scribe should possess 50% or lesser marks in his own academic stream.

iv. Both, the candidate as well as the scribe will have to give a suitable undertaking, confirming that the scribe fulfils all the stipulated eligibility criteria for a scribe as mentioned above. Further, in case it later transpires that he did not fulfill any of the laid-down eligibility criteria or suppressed material facts, the candidature of the applicant will stand cancelled, irrespective of the result of the written test.

v. Candidates who use a scribe shall be eligible for extra time of 20 minutes for every hour of the examination.
