An Autonomous Organization under the Ministry of Human Resource Development (Department of School Education & Literacy)-Goverment of India, invites applications for the following posts in Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya under Jaipur Region (Rajasthan, Haryana & Delhi) :-

Essential:

Passed Sr. Secondary Examination (Class – XII) or equivalent; and

Grade ‘A’ (Three Years) Diploma/Certificate in Nursing from a recognized institution.or

B.Sc. (Nursing) from a recognized University/Institution)

Registration with Indian/State Nursing Council.

Practical experience of two years in a Hospital/clinic.

Desirable:
Working knowledge of Hindi and English.

02 Catering Assistant (on Direct recruitment basis) Rs.4000-

6000/- 04 (Un Reserved - 03)(OBC- 01) Out of above 4 vacancies, 2 vacancies are reserved for Orthopedically handicapped – OA ( One arm affected ) 1- Secondary School (X-class) pass; and 03 years diploma in Catering or equivalent from an institution recognized by Ministry of Tourism Goverment of India/State Goverment or Pass Sr. Secondary (Class-XII) from CBSE with Hotel Management and Catering as vocational subject and atleast one year experience in catering.or Passed Senior Secondary (Class-XII) or equivalent and one-year diploma in catering or equivalent from a recognized institution with 03 years experience in catering in reputed institutions/ Hotels.or Trade proficiency Certificate in Catering with a minimum of 10 years service in Defence Services on regular establishment (for ex-servicemen only)

B-Eligiblity Criteria

Age Limit for Direct Recruits 18 to 35 years as on 30.09.2008.

Age Relaxation
Maximum relaxation in upper age limit will be as under :

Upto a Maximum 05 years in the case of SC/ST candidates.

Upto a maximum of 03 years in case of OBC Candidates.

Upto a maximum of 10 years (15 years for SCs/STs and 13 years for OBCs) in respect of Physically Handicapped persons.

An ex- serviceman as per rules of Govt. of India

Upto a maximum of five years for persons who had ordinarily been domiciled in the State of Jammu & Kashmir during 01.01.1980 to 31.12.1989

Upto a maximum of Five years in the case of regular in-service Govt. / NVS employees provided that applicant has rendered three years of regular service in the same line and on producing a certificate from the competent authority indicating the date of joining, nature of appointment and name of the post held.

Note: No candidate will be accorded age relaxation unless he/she produced the requisite certificate alongwith his/her application for the recruitment to the post

B - Genral Condition for the Appoinments:-

Selected candidates will be entitled to allowances as admissible to Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti employees depending upon the place of posting.
Selected candidates are liable to be posted/transferred any where in India. It may be noted that most of the Vidyalayas are located in rural areas.
Candidates who are already in service are required to submit their applications through proper channel only.
Samiti reserves the right to fix criteria for calling candidates for interview. Mere eligibility will not vest any right to any candidate for being called for interview and Samiti’s decision in this regard will be binding for all concerned.
The number of the vacancies are tentative and subject to change.
Selected candidates will be on probation for a period of two years which will be extendable for further one year subject to the performance of the candidates. During the probation period, services of probationer can be terminated at any time without assigning any reasons.
The Female Staff Nurse and Catering Assistant in Navodaya Vidyalaya are considered as vacational staff (Non-teaching).
Application (in duplicate) complete in all respects in the prescribed format given below (neatly typed, preferably in English on plain paper approximate size 22cm X 30 cm) accompanied by Crossed Demand Draft of requisite fees should be sent in the name of Deputy Commissioner, Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti, Regional Office, 18- Sangram Colony, C-Scheme, Jaipur (Raj.) – 302001 on or before 30.09.2008. The candidates are required to submit the copies of marksheet of each year of certificate/Diploma/Degree courses invariably failing which the application will be treated as incomplete and rejected summarily.
The application received after this date i.e. 30.09.2008 will not be entertained. The Samiti will not be responsible for any postal delay.
Second class rail fare by shortest route on production of proper receipt will be paid to SC/ST candidates only for attending the interview as per rules of the Samiti.

D - Application Fee:

Candidates will have to pay a Non Refundable Fee Of Rs. 250/-(Rupees two hundred fifty only) by Crossed Demand Draft in favour of “Deputy Commissioner, Navodaya Vidylaya Samiti”, payable at Jaipur alongwith his/her application. Candidates should note that the fee sent through IPO/Money order/Crossed Cheque/Currency Notes or the Treasury Challans etc. will not be accepted by the Samiti and such applications will be treated as without fee and the application will be rejected summarily. Separate fee is to be paid for each post applied alongwith the application and necessary enclosures.
The Bank Draft should be valid for atleast six months and should not have been purchased prior to the date of publication of this advertisement.
No fee is required to be paid by SCs/STs/Ex-servicemen categories. Physically Handicapped persons are also exempted from payment of fee subject to submission of prescribed Medical Certificate issued by a Government Hospital, duly signed by C.M.O.
