Applications are invited for filling up one vacancy of Protocol Officer (Group 'B'; Gazetted) in the Planning Commission in the scale of pay of Rs.6500-200-10500/- on deputation basis.

The qualifications, experience and the eligibility conditions required for the post are given in Annexure-I.

2. The pay of the selected official will be regulated in accordance with the Department of Personnel & Training's O.M. No.2/29/91-Estt. (Pay.ll) dated 5.1.94 as amended from time to time.

3. Applications in the prescribed proforma given in Annexure-ll, alongwith vigilance clearance and attested photocopies of the ACRs for the last five years of the candidates, who fulfill the requirements may be sent to the Under Secretary (A-ll), Planning Commission, Room No. 563, Yojana Bhawan, New Delhi, through proper channel.

The vacancy is also being published in the Employment News and the last date for receipt of application shall be 45 days from the date of publication in the Employment News. It may please be noted that the candidates who apply for the_ post will not be allowed to withdraw their candidature subsequently and the applications of only those candidates who can be relieved in the event of their selection may only be forwarded.

5. Eligibility

1. Officers of the Central Government:
1. holding analogous posts on regular basis; or
2. with three years regular service in posts in the revised scale of Rs.5500-9000 or equivalent- or
3. with six years regular service in posts in the revised scale of Rs.5000-|8000or equivalent; or
4. with eight years regular service in posts in the revised scale of Rs. 4500-7000 or equivalent; and
2. Possessing the following Educational Qualifications and experience
1. Degree from a recognized University or equivalent;
2. Two years experience of protocol including public relations work, if any.(Period of deputation including period of deputation in another ex-cadre post held immediately preceding this appointment in the same or other organization/department of the Central Government shall ordinarily not exceed three years. The maximum age limit for appointment by deputation shall not be exceeding 56 years. as on the closing date of receipt of applications). Annexure-II
