Posts Advertised: Lecturer (World Drama) & Production Manager

National School of Drama, an autonomous organization fully financed by the Government of India, Ministry of Culture invites applications for filling in one post each of Lecturer (World Drama) and Production Manager through the method of Direct Recruitment in the pay scale of Rs.15600 - 39100 plus a grade pay of Rs.5400 as adopted pursuant to the recommendations of the 6th Central Pay Commission.

In addition to the pay scale and grade pay, the posts carry allowances as admissible to the Central Government employees stationed at Delhi.

The details of the posts are given below:

Lecturer (World Drama)

Age Limit: 45 years and below.

Essential qualifications & Experience:

1.

1. Good academic record, should have B.A. Degree and the NSD Diploma in Dramatics / or a Master's Degree with at least 2nd Class in the concerned subject.
2. Two years research or professional experience or evidence of creative work and achievement in the field of specialization. (or) A combined research and professional experience of three years in the field as an Artist of outstanding talent.

2. Proficiency in writing and speaking English / Hindi essential.

Production Manager

Age Limit: 45 years and below.

Essential qualifications & Experience:

1. Graduate of NSD or possessing equivalent theatre training.
2. At least 5 years experience of organization and management work for mounting of productions with a theatre organization of repute.

Note:

1. The prescribed age limit shall be reckoned as on last day of receipt of the applications.
2. The upper age limit is relaxable as per Government orders in force from time to time in respect of Scheduled Caste / Scheduled Tribe candidates and candidates belonging to other specified categories.
3. The upper age limit is relaxable by 5 years in case of employees of the School.
