Applications are invited to fill up five (05) posts of Assistant Commissioner (Admn.) (General-04 and OBC-01) in the scale of pay of Rs.10,000-325-15,200/- in Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti (NVS) on direct recruitment basis. The selected candidates are likely to be posted at Headquarters Office at New Delhi and Regional Offices located in Bhopal, Chandigarh, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Lucknow, Patna, Pune and Shillong.

A) Educational Qualifications & Experience Essential:

1. Graduate form a recognized University.
2. Holding analogous post on regular basis OR With 08 years service in the scale of Rs.6500-10500/-

B)Age Limit: Upto 45 years.

Relaxation in upper age limit for SC/ST/OBC/PH candidates as per Govt, of India rules will be admissible. Regular employees of NVS will be eligible for 05 years of age relaxation.

Instructions to Candidates:

1. Applications must be submitted through proper channel in the prescribed format published as Annexure to this advertisement. Application should be accompanied by a non-refundable fee of Rs.250/- (Rupees Two hundred fifty only) through a demand draft valid for 06 months in favour of Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti payable at New Delhi.

2. No fee is required to be paid by candidates belonging to SC, ST and PH categories.

3. "Application for the Post of Assistant Commissioner (ADMN)." shall be written on the envelope

4. Application must be accompanied by attested photocopies of certificate in regard to proof of age, qualifications, experience, pay scale and reservation category.

5. NVS can take up the verification of eligibility of the candidate at any point of time. If found ineligible, the candidature shall be summarily rejected.

6. Selected Candidates are liable to be posted / transferred anywhere in India.

7. Candidates working in Govt, departments, Autonomous organizations, etc. must submit their applications through proper channel.

8. Candidates must fulfill all eligibility conditions for appointment as on 31.01.2008.

9. Duly filled in applications must reach by ordinary post only within one month from the date of issue of the advertisement at the address given below :

Candidates residing in the North Eastern States of Meghalaya, Manipur, Mizoram, Nagaland, Arunachal Pradesh, Tripura. Assam, Sikkim and remote areas like Lahaul and Spiti, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Lakshadweep will be allowed 10 (10) days additional time for submission of applications.
