The International School Bangalore (TISB)

TISB is the pioneer IB world school in India offering KG-12 international education with grade IV – XII residential accommodation in Bangalore. It’s a home away from home for about 800 students from over 33 countries. 150 staff and their families including expatriate faculty members and NRIs.

Positions are available as:

Deputy Principal – Academic

Should have a doctorate / masters / bachelors from renowned institutions combined with a long track record of experience in academic and pastoral care, gained at fine residential schools in India or abroad.

Excellent verbal and written communicative skills with a high level of comfort in working in an international setting with Indian and expatriate students and faculty. High degree of emotional intelligence is a must.

Mentoring teachers and undertaking pastoral responsibility

Planning and administration of all academic areas including timetabling, organizing exams, co-curricular activities, etc.

Teachers (for IB & ICGSE Curriculum)

Mathematics, Physics, English Literature
English as a foreign language or English as a second language.
French / Spanish / German
Economics

Qualification: A master / MPhil / Doctorate in relevant subject coupled with a teaching diploma / bachelors in education from a premier institute in India or abroad.

Versatility in teaching various age groups in the senior high school/secondary and middle years. Willing to be trained in teaching the international Baccalaureate diploma programme and the IGCSE programme. Usage of technology in teaching learning processes & Indian curriculum.

CTC for senior teachers Rs.6 lakhs plus and for middle level teachers Rs.4 lakhs plus.

Boarding house Co-ordinators / House Masters / Mistresses

The position requires candidates to have bachelors degree in teaching / hospitality management / applied Psychology. Should be in the age group of 40 years and above. The person will be responsible for the entire administration and maintenance of boys / girls international home. Will co-ordinate with the house assistants and also report to the Principal / Dy. Principal – Pastoral. The ideal candidate should have at least 5-6 years relevant experience in reputed institution in India or abroad. Female candidates shall be preferred for co-ordinators position.

Boarding House Mothers

Candidates should be degree/diploma holders in nursing or hospitality industry in the age group of 35 years and above. Persons with experience in nursing homes / clinics or in similar pastoral care institutions shall be preferred. Will be responsible for the day-to-day affairs of the international homes and report to the co-ordinators / house masters / house mistresses.

Physical Education Director

To lead and manage a large physical education programme with a dozen physical education instructors in various sports and games.

Identify hidden talent & nurture them
Encourage team spirit and be pro-active
Stay on campus & promote all sports programmes
Design a sports programme for 800 boarders

Experienced professionals from the armed force not below the rank of a caption or accredited sports personnel form sports authority of India / similar other institutions will be preferred.

Coaches

Qualified / trained coaches specialized and experienced in swimming, cricket, soccer, hockey, tennis, volley ball, golf, etc are required

Candidates confident of giving their best with full dedication and enthusiasm to the institution may send detailed curriculum vitae with a recent passport size photo, copies of relevant certificates and a one page write-up on “my notable achievements in the profession”.
