The Anna University is looking for an eminent scholar / Expert for appointment as:

• Professorial Chair in the Institute of Remote Sensing. (Instituted by Oil Industry Development Board (OIDB), Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas, Govt. of India).
• Col. Colin Mackenzie Chair in the Institute of Remote Sensing (Instituted by Survey of India, Department of Science & Technology, Govt. of India).

1. The objective of the OIDB Chair is to promote Research activities in the Area of Remote Sensing and GIS, to take up field projects involving application of Remote Sensing and GIS. Preference will be given to the Scholar having extensive experience in the field of Oil & Natural Gas Sector.
2. The objective of the Col. Colin Mackenzie Chair is to promote R&D activities in the frontier areas related to Geospatial Science/Technology and to undertake all research activities to advice on Human Resources Development.

The maximum duration of the Chair shall be three years. The Chairs carry emoluments as per University norms.

1. OIDB Professorial Chair: The emoluments / consolidated salary is Rs. 40,000/ pm as per University norms.

• Age Limit: 70 years.
• Preference will be given to the scholar having experience in the field of Oil & Natural Gas Sector.

2. Col. Mackenzie Chair: The emoluments / consolidated salary is Rs. 30,000 likely to be increased to 40,000 as per University norms.

• Age Limit: 70 years.
• Preference will be given to the scholar having experience in the Geospatial Sciences, Survey and Large scale Mapping.
