The Icfai Institute of Science and Technology (Icfai Tech), a constituent of the Icfai University, Tripura offers 4 year B. Tech, Program in the areas of Computer Science & Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering and Biotechnology.

Facilities: ICFAI Tech offers excellent facilities for teaching and research, like modern computer lab, PCs with internet access to each faculty, well-stocked library and excellent work environment. The institute is in the process of shifting from present location to the new integrated state-of-the art University campus with faculty houses and hostel facilities spread over 32 acres expected to be ready by June 2007.

Areas: ICFAI Tech is looking for competent faculty members in the following areas:

Electronics & Communication Engg. (Code: ECE 06/14): Satellite, Optical & Mobile Communication Systems, Image / Signal Processing and RF & Microwaves. Computer Science & Engg. (Code: CSE: 06/14): Microprocessors, Computer Graphics, Artificial intelligence, CAD and Robotics.

Electrical & Electronics Engg. (Code: EEE 06/14): Power Systems, Instrumentation, Control Systems, Microelectronics, Analog and Digital Systems.

Mechanical Engg. (Code: MEC 06/14): Structure and Properties of Materials, Mechanics of solids, Engineering Graphics and Workshop Practice.

Biotechnology (Code: BT 06/14): Biophysics, Genetics, Bioinformatics and Bioprocess Applications.

Qualification: The candidates should have a Ph. D in the relevant discipline from reputed Indian or Foreign Institutes. However, candidates having Master`s Degree in Electrical / Electronics Engineering / Technology with brilliant academic record and relevant teaching experience can also be considered. Candidates retired from reputed institutes and in good health will also be considered and due weight age will be given for the experience.

Experience: The candidates should have 2 to 15 years of teaching experience in reputed institutes of Science & Technology. Exposure to semester pattern of teaching with continuous internal evaluation is desirable. Fresh postgraduates (M. Tech / M.E.) with brilliant academic record and with a flair for teaching and research may also apply. All candidates should be computer savvy.

Remuneration:

Scale: As per UGC depending on qualifications and experience
DA: 79% of Basic (central DA)
HRA: 30% of Basic
N.E: Allowances 25% of Basic.

In addition, candidates will be eligible for CCA: PF, Gratuity, LTA; Medical and other allowances as applicable. Candidates from outside Tripura will also be eligible for reimbursement of Airfare to & from Agartala to nearest Airport twice in a year for self and spouse for travel to home town.
