Essential Qualification:

1. Master Degree with atleast 55% of the marks or its equivalent grade of "B" in seven point scale.
2. Atleast 15 years of experience as Asstt. Professor / Associate Professor (Lecturer / Reader) of which 8 years should be in the Associate Professor with experience in educational administration or Comparable experience in research establishment and other institutions of higher education. (or)

3. Atleast 15 years of administrative experience out of which 8 years as Deputy Registrar or an equivalent post in a Government Organization.

   The minimum of 55% marks shall not be insisted upon in the case of existing incumbents who are already in the University system.

Desirable Qualification: Experience of handling legal matters and computer operation.
