Madurai Kamaraj University

Applications are invited for the post of Lecturers in various Departments/ Centres of this University as given below: Candidature pertaining to each advertisement number will be dealt with separately. Aspects connected with a specific advertisement number indicated below shall not have any binding on the other. Each advertisement number is independent.

This advertisement is issued in pursuance of the orders made in W.P. (MD) Nos. 1997, 2102 and 2880 of 2006, dated 5.12.2006 of Madurai bench of the Madras High court.

Qualifications and Scale of Pay for the above positions are as per UGC norms. Revised UGC Guidelines read as follows: “The candidates having Ph. D Degree in the concerned subject are exempted from net or slet or an accredited test for P.F. Level teaching”. The University offers programmes only at P.G. Level and research. All the posts will be governed by the New Contributory Pension Scheme of the Government of Tamil Nadu.

The Hon’ble Supreme Court had ordered to follow the roster system taking each department as an individual unit for each cadre and not pooling each cadre for the whole University together. (Vide Higher Education (H1) Department, Government of Tamil Nadu dated 19.4.2002)

Those who had applied responding to our advertisement, R37 to R101 dated, 29.1.2006, 30.1.2006 and 1.2.2006 have to apply afresh. The payment made earlier towards the cost of application will be refunded shortly.
