Applications (Eight Copies) are invited from qualified persons for appointment to the post of Registrar so as to be received by the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. P.Maurthamuthu by name by Registered Post.

Scale of Pay: Rs.16, 400-450-20,900-500-22,400 plus allowances admissible under the rules of the University.

Tenure: Selected person will be appointed on contract basis for a period of three years.
Age: Age of superannuating for the above post is 58.

1.A Master degree with at least 55% marks or its equivalent grade of B, in the UGC seven points scale

2. At least 15 years of experience as Lecturer (Sr.Scale)/Lecturer with eight years in Reader’s grade along with experience in educational administration.

Comparable experience in research establishment or in other institutions of higher education.

Fifteen years of administrative experience of which 8 years as Deputy Registrar or an equivalent post.

1. Relaxation of 5% may be provided from 55% to 50% marks at the Master’s level for the SC/ST category.

2. Relaxation of 5% may be provided from 55% to 50% marks to the Ph.D. degree holders who have passed their Master’s degree prior to 19th September 1991.

Last date for the issue and submission of filled-in application is 20.11.2006

Prescribed form can be obtained from the office of the Registrar, Madurai Kamaraj University, Madurai- 625 021 on requisition accompanied by a Demand Draft for Rs.500/- drawn in favour of the Registrar, Madurai Kamaraj University, Madurai – 625 021 by sending a self-addressed envelop of 27 x 12 cms. Size stamped of the value of Rs.27/-. In the case of SC / ST candidates, the cost of application will be Rs.250/- only on production of attested Xerox copy of community certificate. Money Orders / Bank Chalans / Postal Orders / Cheques / Cash will not be accepted. Those who are already in service should apply through proper channel. Applications received after the last date will be summarily rejected.
