** If a suitable and qualified candidates belonging to Arunthathiar are not available for selection for appointment in the turn allotted to them, the turn so allotted shall go to other SC candidates within the SC category on merit basis as per the G.O's No.61 Adi Dravidar and Tribal Welfare (TD2) Department dated 29,05.2009).

These advertisements cancel the earlier advertisement dated 02.09.2009. 15.09.2009, 22.09.2009 and 06.10.2009, since the advertisement dated 02.09.2009 and 15.09.2009 (Corrigendum) which were challenged in W.P.(MD) Nos.10039, 10088 and 10203 of 2009 for not following the relevant G.O's regarding 200 point roster and for Arunthathiars in which the Hon'ble Madurai Bench of Madras High Court permitted the University to re-advertise the Posts as per the relevant G.O's regarding 200 point roster and for Arunthathiars.

All the earlier advertisements, which had similar defects, stand cancelled and hence the fresh advertisement is issued.

Application can be had from the Registrar on requisition accompanied by a Crossed Demand Draft to the value of Rs.500/- (which is non - refundable) drawn in favour of The Registrar, Manonmaniam Sundaranar University, Payable at Tirunelveli in person or by Post by sending a self - addressed stamped envelope (25 X 12 cm) to the value of Rs.40/-.

Application can also be downloaded from our website: www.msuniv.ac.in and submitted with the required fee. SC/ST candidates can get one form at free of cost on submission of attested xerox copy of the Community Certificate.

Educational Qualifications and Scale of Pay as per the UGC Norms (vide www.msuniv.ac.in and instructions to the candidates available with the application forms).

Last date for issue and submission of filled in Application form is 09 December, 2009 - upto 5.45 p.m.

Note:

1. This notification is in accordance with 200 - Point roster adhering to the relevant G.O's treating each Department/Discipline as a separate unit.
2. Those candidates who have already applied for the above Posts, if found suitable in the present roster system need not apply again provided they have not received the Demand Draft for Rs.500/- towards the application fee from the University.
3. Those candidates who have got back their application fee of Rs.500/- through DD/Cheque have to apply again.
4. The University reserves the right to fill up or not to fill up any of the vacancies advertised, if the circumstances so warrant.
5. Separate application is required for each Post.
6. Persons appointed against the regular budget Posts shall come under the new pension scheme introduced by the Government of Tamil Nadu and those who are already in pensionable service shall come under the old pension scheme (not applicable for UGC scheme Post).
7. The University will not be responsible for any loss or Postal delay in transit.
8. The qualifications and other conditions prescribed in the advertisement are subject to the regulations/norms stipulated by the UGC from time to time.
9. Interview for candidates from abroad will be through Video conferencing on specific request from the candidate.
