Applications in the prescribed form are invited from the Indian Nationals for filling up of the following Teaching and Non-Teaching posts at the North Eastern Hill University, Shillong Campus and Tura Campus.

Shillong Campus

Note: 1 The candidates who have applied earlier against the above mentioned post(s) in response to the dated 23rd July, 2008 need not apply again. However, if they wish to update their Bio-data they may do so.

Note: 2 The reservation of post(s) for SC, ST & PH at the level of Professors & Readers, as contained on the earlier dated 23rd July, 2008 shall continue.

Non Teaching (Shillong Campus)

• Registrar - 1 (For a tenure of 5 years)
• Deputy Librarian -1 (Candidates who have applied earlier for the post of Deputy Librarian against the dated 29th March, 2006 need not apply again. However, if they wish to update their Bio-data they may do so).

How to Apply:

The prescribed application form alongwith details of qualification and experiences, terms and conditions etc. may be obtained from the Section Officer, Estt.ll(B), Nehu, Mawkynroh, Umshing Shillong - 793 022 on payment of Rs.20/- (Rupees Twenty) only in the form of Bankers Cheque / Demand Draft drawn in favour of the Finance Officer, Nehu, Shillong and payable at the State Bank of India, Nehu Branch (Code No.4295) or application can also be obtained through University Challan.

The same can also be downloaded from the website: http://www.nehu.ac.in if the application form is downloaded from the website, the fee of Rs.120/- (Rupees One Hundred & Twenty) only for General Candidates and Rs.70/- (Rupees Seventy) only for SC / ST candidates is required to be paid alongwith the application form.

Application forms may be collected personally or by sending self addressed stamped envelope.

Physically Handicapped candidates are being exempted from payment of any fees.
