The following posts are proposed to be filled under the Special Recruitment Drive for Scheduled Tribes with horizontal reservation for Persons with Disabilities:

1. Assistant Registrar

2. Section Officer

Note: (1) The requirement of experience is relaxable at the discretion of University, if sufficient number of applications or suitable candidates with prescribed experience are not available.

These posts are carry forward vacancy of last year for Scheduled Tribe Orthopedically Disabled (OH) candidates.

During this year, if Scheduled Tribe OH candidates are not available these posts will be filled by other categories of Physically Disabled candidates viz.

Scheduled Tribe Visually Impaired (VH)/Scheduled Tribe Hearing Impaired (HH).in case suitable candidates from any of the above categories of disabled are not available, the posts will be filled by ST candidates.

The Scheduled Tribe candidates who have already applied in response to our earlier advertisements for these posts, need not apply again.

Instructions to be followed while submitting the applications. Applications should be submitted in the prescribed format attached as Annexure.

Candidates should enclose attested copies of certificates, in support of age,Community, educational qualifications, Medical Certificate for Physical Disability, experience etc. along with the filled in original application.

Candidates already in service should send their application through proper channel along with attested copies of ACRs for the last five years in sealed cover.

An advance copy may be sent directly, if necessary. However, in such cases candidates called for interview shall have to produce no Objection Certificate or original applications duly forwarded by competent authority of their institutions, failing which he/she shall not be allowed to appear for the written test/interview.

Candidates should furnish their telephone and fax numbers and e-mail ID for fast-track purposes.

The prescribed qualifications and experience are minimum and the fact that a candidate possesses the same will not necessarily entitle him/her for being called for interview.

The University reserves the right to restrict the number of candidates to be called for interview.

The University also reserves the right not to appoint anyone for the positions advertised, if none is found suitable.Canvassing in any form will disqualify the candidates.

The name of the position applied for shall be superscribed on the envelope without fail.

If the cover containing an application is not marked properly as per the information given above, it is likely to be misplaced.

The University does not take any responsibility of such misplaced applications.

No correspondence will be entertained from candidates regarding postal delays, conduct of interview and reason for not being called for written test/interview and not being selected.

Applications received after the stipulated date or incomplete in any respect or not readable easily will not be entertained and no further correspondence will be made in this regard.

Completed applications with all the necessary/required enclosures along with a Demand Draft for Rs.75/- (Rupees Seventy Five only) from Nationalized Bank drawn in favour of Finance Officer,

Pondicherry University and payable at Pondicherry must reach the Assistant Registrar (Admn),

On or before 17.11.2008. It is again emphasized that if an application is not prepared as per instructions given above, the application will be summarily rejected, without any communication.

The University reserves the right to correct any typographical error(s) in this notification.
