Applications (8) copies are invited from qualified persons for appointment to the post of “NSS Co-Ordinator.” Thiruvalluvar University, Vellore – 632 004

Scale of Pay: Rs.12, 000-420-18, 300 with admissible allowance.

The appointment will be on tenure basis for a period of three years initially on Deputation / Transfer / Contract basis.

Qualification: (1) Should hold a Post not below the rank of Lecturer (Senior Scale) in the University or affiliated colleges (2) The Principal of an affiliated College having NSS background and status of a Reader will also be considered for appointment as Co-ordinator (3) Must have been the NSS Programme Officer for at least 3 years (4) Must have undergone an Orientation Programme on NSS in Training and Orientation Centre/ Training Orientation and Research Centre.

Age: Shall not have completed 50 years of age as on 01-01-2007.

Note: (a) The University reserves the right to fill or not to fill the post and to shortlist the candidates without assigning any reason whatsoever; (b) Application (Eight Copies) should be made only in the format prescribed by the University; (c) Candidates already in service should send their applications through proper channel; (d) Candidates called for interview will not be paid any TA / DA; (e) Application received after the Last Date & Time will be summarily rejected; (f) Knowledge of Tamil to the extent of carrying official correspondence and drafting reports is essential; (g) Enquiries on the above subject will not be entertained.

Application forms can be had from the University from 18-12-2006 onwards. The completed application should reach the “The Registrar, Thiruvalluvar University, Vellore – 632 004” on or before 17-01-2007 at 5.00 p.m.
