Note

1.1) Allowances are admissible to the employees of the University as per the existing rules of the Government of India/UGC, which may change from time to time.

1.2) Interview / Selection / Appointment, Pertaining to the previous Employment Notifications issued by the University, have already been completed.

There is no relevance between the present employment notification and earlier employment notifications of the University.

Therefore, candidates, who submitted applications in response to the earlier employment notifications and were not selected/not called for interview, are required to submit fresh applications in the prescribed form and pay necessary registration fee for the posts mentioned in the present employment notification.

2. Registration Fee and Submission of Filled-in Applications

Application Form shall be filled in by the applicant and sent to the University as under:

2.1) Affix full signature on the Application (hard/print copy) – This is treated as original application.

2.2) A crossed Demand Draft for the amount of Rs.350/- for candidates under‘General’ & ‘OBC” category, or Rs.100/- for candidates under ‘SC/ST/PH’category, or U.S.$10/- for candidates applying from abroad and wish to pay the amount in foreign currency, drawn in favour of the Finance Officer, University of Hyderabad, payable at Hyderabad (A.P., India), should be sent with the application towards registration fee.

Enclose the crossed Demand Draft (details of which were entered by you in the application) to the application.The Demand Draft should be placed/tagged at the top of the application.

2.3) Paste (do not staple/pin) a passport size colour photograph in the space provided on the right top portion of the Application.

2.4) Enclose good copies (not originals) of certificates/publications/preprints/ reprints etc., to the Application in proof of all information (date of birth, qualifications, experience, publications etc.) furnished in the Application. Write‘Enclosure sl. no.____’ (as mentioned/filled in the application) at the right top corner of each copy of the certificate/document enclosed to the application.

2.5) Get endorsement of your Employer on the last page of the application (in case the applicant is in service)

2.6) Finally, after attending to the requirements as mentioned in 2.1 to 2..5 above, send the Application in a good envelope (Please, write on the top-left side of the envelope the Name of the post) to the following address on or before the last date given in the advertisement.

Note: In case the applicant is in service, and delay is expected in getting endorsement of the employer concerned on the original application and in sending it to the University, the applicant may submit Advance Copy of the application, with all enclosures, to the address given above directly (with or without employer’s endorsement on the Advance Copy).

In such case, the Demand Draft towards registration fee should be enclosed to the Advance Copy. A Xerox copy of the Demand Draft may be enclosed to the original application being sent through proper channel/employer.

If the original application through proper channel has not been received by the University by the last date mentioned in the employment notification, the candidate/applicant will have to submit ‘No Objection Certificate’ obtained from his/her employer to the University at the time of interview, if he/she is called for interview.

3.0) Last date for receipt of filled-in Application by the University: 17th February, 2009

4.0) Essential Qualifications/Experience :

4.1) Registerer: (1 post – Unreserved)

  1. A Master’s degree with at least 55% of the marks or its equivalent grade of B in the UGC seven point scale
  2. At least 15 years’ of experience as Assistant Professor in the AGP of Rs.7000 and above or with 8 years’ of service in the AGP of Rs.8000 and above including as Associate Professor along with experience in educational administration, or
  3. Comparable experience in research establishment and/or other Institutions of higher education,or
  4. 15 years of administrative experience, of which 8 years shall be as Deputy Registrar or an equivalent post.

Note: The minimum requirement of 55% marks shall not be insisted upon in the case of existing incumbents who are already in the University System.

The minimum requirement in their case shall be at least 50% of marks at the Master’s degree level.

4.2) University Engineer (On Deputation): (1 Post - Unreserved)

  1. The applicant should be either a Superintending Engineer or a Senior Executive Engineer in the appropriate pay scale in CPWD/State PWD/Irrigation Department/Electricity Board of Central/ State Government or in any organized Engineering Service/Engineering Department of a Central or State Government or University. The Superintending Engineer should possess 3 years experience in the grade/post and the Senior Executive Engineer with 8 years experience in the grade/post will only be considered.
  2. The applicant should have at least 3 years of left over service prior to retirement on attaining the age of superannuation in the parent department.
  3. The Officer selected for appointment on deputation should work initially for a period of two years and should stay on campus. He will give an option either to draw his own grade pay from time to time in his parent organization plus deputation allowance or to draw pay in the Foreign Service scale of pay as per Government of India rules thereon.

4.2) Executive Engineer: (1 Post - Unreserved)

A Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with 10 years of experience in design and systems and construction of building, roads, sanitary and water supply systems including maintenance of the same.

Desirable: Post-graduate degree in Structures.

General:

  1. It will be open to the University to consider names of suitable candidates who might not have applied.
  2. The prescribed qualifications and experience are minimum and the mere fact that a candidate possesses the same will not entitle him/her for being called for interview. The University reserves the right to restrict the candidates to be called for interview to a reasonable number on the basis of qualifications and experience higher than the minimum prescribed as decided by a duly constituted Screening Committee. Call letters for attending interview will be sent only to the short-listed candidates by Speed Post or Registered Post or Courier service. No correspondence will be made with applicants who were not short-listed.
  3. Relaxation in upper age limit will be allowed to the candidates belonging to the Reserved Categories as follows: a) SC/ST – 5 years; b) OBC-3 years; c) Physically Handicapped (PH) – 10 years (General category). In case the PH candidates belong to SC/ST/OBC category, such SC/ST-cum-PH candidates are eligible for 15 years’ relaxation and OBC-cum-PH candidates are eligible for 13 years’ relaxation in the upper age limit prescribed for General category candidates. A copy of the valid Caste Certificates as per Govt. of India orders should be enclosed.
  4. The University reserves the right to relax any of the qualifications, experience, etc., in deserving cases in respect of any post.
  5. The number of vacancies of the posts indicated in this Employment Notification is tentative. The University reserves the right to fill any consequential vacancies, and / or to increase/decrease the number of posts at the time of selection and make appointments accordingly.
  6. Outstation candidates called for interview will be paid contribution equivalent to return single second/sleeper class railway fare towards journey expenses, with in India, on production of tickets.
  7. Canvassing in any form on behalf of any candidate will disqualify such candidate:
  8. Selection will be made on the basis of candidates’ previous record and their performance in the interview. The University may utilize seminar or colloquium as a method of selection.
  9. Candidates already in service should submit their applications (hard copy/print out) through proper channel or he/she must produce ‘No Objection Certificate’ from his/her employer at the time of interview.
  10. Experience and qualifications will be reckoned as on the last date for receipt of filled - in applications, as mentioned in the Employment Notification. Good Xerox copies of all certificates must be attached to the application:
  11. Those who have joined / are joining the University service on or after 1st January, 2004 are covered under new pension scheme introduced by Government of India.
  12. Applications incomplete in any respect will not receive any consideration at all.
  13. The University will not be responsible for any postal delay at any stage.
  14. Applicant must write name of the post, his/her name and full address on the back of the Demand Draft (Cheques / Money Orders / Postal Orders will not be accepted).
  15. The individuals/departments who have responded to the notification of calling applications for deputation for the post of University Engineer on deputation should again reply afresh in the prescribed proforma through proper channel.
